Signature problem
belugawhaleman replied to belugawhaleman's topic in Problems? Suggestions? Tell us!
Thanks but the problem is that when I attempt to change my signature there is An artifact there from a previous attempt to change my signature that I cannot delete or change. The signature function is frozen I can only turn off viewing of signatures in order to prevent this showing at the bottom of my posts. -
Looks formidable!

Pro tip on using a vented paint booth.
belugawhaleman replied to ScottsGT's topic in General Discussion
Mine is not vented outside as I'm mainly concerned about dust and mostly use Acrylics. However I also have a filtered air-purifyer that is vented outdoors and I usually keep my windows open. I noticed spraying Tamiya surfacer/primer without the booth I get lots of dust! -
Update: after many emails and texts they now claim it's been shipped today. My Guess is that they simply created a shipping label to shut me up. We shall see. If All is kosher, fine, but I'll never do business with them again. Incidentally I emailed A different site that lists many kits that are not available anywhere else (mostly Takom) If they could verify that the item I wanted was in stock. They did not answer my email. I tried ordering a kit from them over a year ago that they listed as in stock .....it wasn't so I canceled the order. I won't give the outfits name....I'll try calling them.. But honestly, I think it's another trick.

Wheel spacing? Probably Putin's fault. -
It's been over a week and the item listed as being " one in stock for immediate shipment " Hasn't been shipped yet. I find that items listed that way are just not in stock. In fact, don't trust anything as being in stock from this seller. I've emailed them and Texted loic. no more replies.

Very nice work on your GT-40! -
I purchased one of these recently. It's a quality tool that's built like a tank.

Now I'm being told that the item was in stock at their other store and it should take A day to get to the main store (I texted Loic ) I asked if he could ship me direct from the other store. No reply. I now have an estimated arrival date of June 19. We'll see.

Covid, or Putin's war..........wait a minute those are the white house tag lines!

Ordered an item from Kitlinx on Tuesday. It was listed as "One in stock ships immediately". An hour after ordering one reappeared in stock stating again, " ships immediately ". After a two-day wait for a notice of shipping, I inquired as to the shipping.......... I was told my order would ship " next week". So I gather their claim as it being in stock was false and that it would ship immediately was deliberately misleading. No way to do business.

Will be following. I've only built one Stuka, the big 1/24 Airfix one. Long gone now.

This came today; From Tamiya, their Jagdpanzer Marder I Sd. kfz.135. in 1/35 (35370). Another German gun on a captured chassis, this time French. A Lorraine 37L. Again, it's one of Tamiya's more recent releases and it looks pretty good. It has their Link and length tracks now ubiquitous with Tamiya armor kits. It's a small vehicle, making the individual track links near microscopic, but I'll get by. I'm working on their Panzer 38(t) right now and I'm really impressed by the outstanding fit and engineering of the more recent Tamiya kits. The figures included with this kit and the 38(t) look really good as well.

This came today: Tamiya's French Light Tank AMX-13 in 1/35. I was browsing Tamiya models on an online shop and saw this weird-looking tank and , as usually the case, I'm drawn to unusual subjects. I mean, just look at this thing! The canvas cover on the turret makes It look like it's smiling! Anyway, A look inside the box reveals that it's a simple build.

Interesting subject. Will be watching and anticipating a fine build! -
Some recent arrivals: First, from GasPatch Models came this nice pair of .50 Browning M2 guns in 1/35. They're beautiful ! The only problem is that they are molded to feed from the right. Some minor file work will change that, and it won't be noticeable when finished. Also, from Archer came their M8 Armored Car instruments and placards for Tamiya kit #53228 (AR35521) in 1/35. Some tiny decals! Today came Tamiya's Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) Ausf.E/F in 1/35. I haven't looked in the box yet, but I've heard good things about this kit. Update: I looked in the box. One seriously small tank but otherwise looks great! It's nicely molded with link and length tracks and a photo-etch piece. Another update; Just ordered a set from Star Decals for the little Panzer 38. The set offers some camouflage schemes for this tank. Looks interesting.

The other day I listened to the Bob Dylan thirtieth anniversary concert. Good stuff. Especially Dylan's My Back Pages performed by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Roger Mcguin, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, and George Harrison.

Ah, got to save that one. However, I'm still waiting for Niki, from Takom to ship a Sprue from their 1/16 panzer 1 a kit.
