  1. Working on a Classy Hobby 1/16 German tank figure. I've finished the body , got the head, hat,and boots to do yet. I chose to do the later field gray uniform suitable for the date of my stug.
  2. Your work looks great so far. I'm enjoying your build. Yes, I also have one of the Infini templates and I agree, wonderful product. I have something coming in the mail from kitlinx. Recently, I found some of the Takom workable track links for the British early MK IV tanks on their website......rare as hens teeth...I bought two sets right away! Honestly, my only problems I've had with them is with shipping.
  3. I agree, but I'd like to see these kits in a larger scale.
  4. I've just checked under my bed. No big trilobite things.............none! Thank God ! ...The lizards ate them!
  5. Another WW 1 subject. This time a Cannon. A French Schneider 155mm. in 1/35 scale from Das Werk. The kit box is filled with a multitude of microscopic and delicate-looking parts and appears to be very well-molded. There's also some tiny photo-etch parts included.
  6. Nice work John! It's hard to keep up with your builds you finish them so quickly! keep up the good work and I'll be watching! Paul.
  7. Yes, I always like a Wildcat build and yours is excellent.
  8. This reminds me of a video I recently watched on YouTube about Zimmerit. They described in detail about how it was applied, its purpose, who manufactured it,its chemical make up, and the drying process after applying it. Very informative. If I could find the video again, I'll post it.
  9. I Stand corrected: I see this model in stock on Hobbylinc and Kitlinx!
  10. Great review of a very interesting aircraft! It looks like it might be a challenge to build!
  11. Great work so far. I'm not big on heavy weathering on my models, mostly because I lack the skill, honestly speaking. I've seen models with mud slathered on them and truthfully, I hate that. Hopefully, I'll eventually become skilled enough to add a slightly weathered appearance on my models but for now, I'll build models as I like them for my own enjoyment. I like what you've done so far and I hope you enjoy your build. I've been trying to purchase the subject of your build for some time but this model seems to be universally sold out! Regards; Paul.
  12. Looking forward to building this one but I have a big 1/16 t72 to finish and a big Stug will be next. I see that Aber has a set for this model (Aber 35 L-164) but I don't see it available on the sites I usually purchase from. Perhaps Ebay or direct from Aber are options.
  13. Very nice! I especially like the linen weave effect.
  14. I recently recall finding a colony of these living under my bed; however, my memories of this event.......are somewhat cloudy.
  15. A change from my usual large-scale purchases is this 1/35 Meng A7v ww 1 tank. I remember trying to buy this kit in the past without much luck; everywhere I looked it was sold out. Well, I found this on the Sprue Brothers website. I always wanted to build this somewhat silly - looking, boxy, German, monstrosity of a tank. I remember buying a model ( I think the kit was by Tauro) of this tank years ago and never finishing it. Anyway, this kit looks very good and it even has a complete interior and working tracks. I can't help thinking that this tank reminds me of a two slice toaster.
  16. I contacted Sprue Brothers and they promptly sent me the missing track links. Problem resolved. S.B. was a pleasure to deal with.
  17. Sorry to hear of your troubles. Get well soon!
  18. Wow! I just got this kit on Tuesday and and examining the parts and instructions, it looks like a a great kit! Molding and details look first rate. There is some instructional steps that could be a little clearer but they're easily figured out. There is a lot of inside the turret Detail that will allow hatches open display ; including the gun, periscopes, radio, and etc. Too bad not much driver's position detail however. Expecting a lot of fun building this one. One thing; I never realized what a chunky little beast the M5 Stuart was! I just love 1/16 scale! I think a 1/16 Lee or grant would be mindblowing! Paul

  19. I just went over the parts of a Classy hobby panzer II "Luchs" kit I purchased a while back and found I was missing at least 20 of the track links of the 208 links that are supposed to be included with the kit. After panicking, cursing, and lamenting my fate, I decided to contact my vendor (Sprue Brothers) by e-mail and asking if they could provide The missing track links. I haven't heard from them yet but, I assume this is the right course of action. Has this happened to any of my fellow forum members? I even offered to pay For the missing parts. I know, stupid probably, but I just want to be able to finish the kit. I just want to hear some feedback regarding other's experience regarding this type of situation. Can I expect satisfaction or not? Paul
  20. 1/72 is way too small unless your making the Spruce Goose.
