  1. John Holy smokes that seems like a lot of weight considering the kit only calls for 40 grams. My money is riding on you as always.
  2. Gaz Got ya. At 75 it's been years since I could see any type of details without an Optivisor or a magnifying light/lens. Oh the joys of getting old. šŸ§
  3. Kriss Absolutely gorgeous finish - beautiful work.
  4. John Nice start on the Hasegawa Typhoon's front office and going to be following all the way,
  5. John I've done the same more then once - order a piece of needed Am, waited and when it came, I realized, I ordered the wrong one. Had to be a LONG senior moment when ordering. John, how much total weight are you using? Sure, hope it isn't too much for the gear to handle.
  6. Have to admit, I still use stretch sprue - old habits just stick around forever.
  7. Scott Looking mighty good .. keep those happy mistakes coming.šŸ˜‰
  8. Chris Amazing progress and all that sweat, worrying and hard work is paying off. Canopies and glass look good and the PVA will dry clear. The engines do look so good now in their homes and I just knew you would work the empennage assemblies into place and they do look good. Your Big Cat has made the turn on is pointed in the home stretch now. šŸ‘
  9. Very nice progress - paint and decals are looking good.
  10. John Not really. Nothing is billed to my CC and when ready to ship, I need to pay and compete the purchase. The pre-order cost was $89.95 which I thought was fair and I just didn't want to miss out. Of course, being a Trumpeter kit and a good decade old already, I'll be waiting for some AM before building.
  11. Carl Nice decision to stock up on the Tamiya Thinners and cleaners. I never realized how much Mr Color Self leveling Thinner had gone up in price. going on buying. The Gundam kit looks pretty cool and would be a neat build to follow.
  12. I contacted the Squadron Shop and received a reply within minutes. Pre order done. Excellent customer service
  13. Oliver SWEET! no doubt, going to be incredible.
  14. Phil Will be part of the Lanc build which should be after the Spitfire. Only thing that would change would be if some of the AM I need isn't available.
  15. Neil First time I heard anyone say masking canopies is their favorite part of a build but a tool we need to get better reacquainted as some of the older and smaller models, lack masks set that can't be purchased. Any chance of doing a tutorial on how you go about making masks? There are quite a few 1/72 kits I would like to build but can't find any mask sets and in a scale that small, I've failed so often.
  16. Martin Looking good - I know your pain as I had to make all my own masks for the Kingfisher greenhouse canopy. Too me days to do. Of course, removing the masks at the end, is painless and only takes a few minutes.
  17. Martin The Revell Spit is way easier and a lot les demanding the Mossie. But you THE MAN.
  18. Carl Looking good and no rush, as I seem to do the same these days. Even on the Revell Spit, I've had a few days this past week, I had zero desire to work on it, so I started to build two merlin engines in prep for the Lancaster build. One was from the Border kit (RR Merlin) and the other was from the Tamiya P-51D _ Packard Merlin) just to see how it goes together as compared to the Tamiya Merlin There is a huge difference and the biggest difference, the Border instructions aren't very clear and leave a lot to be desired. Tamiya's instructions are bullet proof. Just warming up for the Lancaster.
