  1. Leave it to martin to find just the right images for reference.👍
  2. Dennis Sure looks mighty nice.
  3. Scott Fingers crossed after letting the base dry for a few days, it will dry just fine with no lifting and you will be ready to keep moving forward. 🤞
  4. Martin Some mighty fine delicate work and something I would shy away from trying. You're a braver man then me.
  5. Scott Nice start on the base. Looking forward to each step of the process.
  6. Chris Glad to see you're at the painting stages and working out a POA - which is so important. I fully appreciate the work and effort the rudder and tail required, after playing around with the Spitfires replacement resin ailerons which needed a lot of work to fit, I went the easy route and glued them in place, slightly deflected with medium thick CCA. If they fail to stay in place, I'll have to go the route of brass rod 🙃. Yup, the glass is going to be a delicate operation but my money is riding on you. Looking forward to the first round of photographs as the Big Cat works her way through the paint shop.
  7. Nice start on the Phantom. Need to take a closer look at KLP's offerings.
  8. Terrific progress for sure - looking so good.
  9. Oliver Holy Smokes - going, no is an epic build already and getting better and better. For your first time out of the box building a truck, why am I not amazed? Awesome start for sure.⭐
  10. John Yup, one good looking aircraft that never quite made the cut. I've had a desire to actually start building a few 1/72 jets, especially first generation aircraft and this surely will get me to buy and build a few.
  11. Moss Green - Gaz and Martin - thank you for the explanation. Honestly, I never heard of the color before, as I'm not an armor builder but who knows what will pop up in the future..
  12. Phil I haven't a kit in the stash that goes that far back but these days, it's like money in the bank. Looking forward to following your Mossie build.
  13. Fran Nice going on the kits, especially the Hurricane. On our side of the pond, we're still waiting as it seems, here in the states we're close or at the bottom of the distribution list these days.🙁
  14. Oliver Next update later this week as I almost ready for the paint shop and priming
  15. John Nice choice ... terrific D Day markings
  16. John Amazing progress - so what's on your agenda while you are waiting for the Victor nose and wing intake set?
  17. Martin Nice work on continuing to correct the fuselage shape - looking so good. A lot of hard work but it's already paying big dividends.
  18. Mike For cleaning out my air brush after a session I use straight lacquer thinner from the hardware store. The only exception is when I shoot Model Air or Model Color, I use both their thinner and air brush cleaner as everything turns to goo in the AB. For thinning my paints, I use mostly Mr Color Self Leveling Thinner or the paint manufactures thinner when shooting acrylics.
  19. kev Thanks for posting - absolutely amazing. Many years ago when I was on the IPMS contest circuit, a lady by the name of Moreta Johnson (hope I got it correct) entered the most amazing shadow box dioramas and they were always my favorite entries at those contests.
  20. Phil Just to stray off topic a bit, you're going to love building the Tamiya Mossie: she and my Fisher Sea Fury are the Queens of my model display case. Just go slow, follow the instructions and you will have a gem at the end of your build. The Mossie isn't a difficult kit, just requires following the instructions and enjoying the journey. Looking forward to following your build and having a front row seat.
  21. Very nice work on the seat. Keeps bringing back memories.
  22. Mark Amazing detail work and the CF looks perfect.
  23. John Surely look as if Kev came to the rescue and you didn't lose any parts. Just glad after all the crawling around on your hands and knees, you could still get up (there are days I can't) 😉
