  1. Scott, Would it be a bit easier if the base was on a swiveling stool? Still, pretty ingenious and wow, the Seaview sure is big. Thats for the heads up to buy Tamiya stock - just might be the investment to make.
  2. John Nice going on finding the parts to make your recon camera. My spare box has a lot of snack wrappers.๐Ÿ˜‰
  3. John Seams to be the way of ebay these days. I've often seen, new kits still available from the normal online venders being also offered on ebay for insane prices. These days I only resort to ebay when I need something but will not pay over what I feel is a FAIR price.
  4. Thanks John - the Quinta set surely took an Oh Hum office to a rather nicely detailed one.
  5. Kev Just pre-ordered the Quinta set from Hobby Nut and as soon as I have then in hand, the Lanc takes over the bench for a good long while
  6. Kev Looking so good but if frustration is reeling you in, take a good break until you feel the juices are flowing at a 100% again. No rush, just too spectacular of a build for that.
  7. Oliver WOW, what an awesome tutorial on how to do the exhaust and it's booked marked.
  8. John Terrific progress on the '109' and she looks good. From you photographs, a sealer coat of clear gloss and all the decals will blend in perfectly. Some mighty nice work
  9. Thanks Phil I haven't tried any of the Red Fox sets yet but will give them a go later this year. One thing I really appreciate about the Quinta sets are seat belts and harnesses are included and RF doesn't. For me, that is a big difference and money saver as well. The seatbelts and Sutton harnesses are from the Quinta set.
  10. Kev, much appreciated and I plan on pre ordering them the Quinta set for the Lancaster from them. -
  11. Thanks Rob, just followed the excellent mini-instructions, a set of Tamiya instructions and a few pics and all was well. I find using Micro Krystal Kleer works perfectly, with plenty of time for adjustments and I've been using Quinta decals this from the first time I tried them and never has a single decal fallen off.
  12. Phil Very much appreciated. It was nice to smell and work with such vintage blue plastic and even the raised panel lines weren't an issue at all. The most time consuming part of the built: masking the greenhouse canopies.
  13. Thanks Martin. much appreciated. It's been decades since I built my first Monogram Kingfisher (back in the early 70's) and I was biting at the bit to take my time machine and recapture a bit of my youth. Surely turned out to be a terrific journey.
  14. John I have no doubts you will come up with just the right bit for the needed part.
  15. John Nice work on the front office - looking real good.
  16. Thanks Scott and I can only imagine given the size of the Seaview. My Kingfisher is just a mini build compared to what you are accomplishing with the Seaview project.
  17. Oliver WOW the exhaust look so well worn and used and the engine is a work of art. ๐Ÿ†
