  1. Gaz Got ya and completely agree - your purchase was a deal and at the same time helping out liquidate the stash of a club member who passed away. I was speaking more towards purchasing on line and on ebay (I try not to) to make sure I know which version I was buying and if there was a more recent one with extras. Keep 'em comin Peter
  2. Hubert Amazing progress and your solutions to the floor issue was perfect. Yup, I too as the eyars have progressed, struggle with small parts both clean and even holding at time. Thoroughly enjoying your build. Keep 'em comin Peter
  3. Bill Nice progress, glad the scribing is done and out of the way - my least favorite part of any build. I also use a lot of Mr Surfacer: 500 and 1200 gray - works so well. Keep 'em comin Peter
  4. Rob Looking so good. The ladder treads do look so much more in scale after you went to work on them. Rigging for canons - I'm uneasy about the rigging being up in the air - shouldn't it lay flat on the deck or am I missing something? Keep 'em comin Peter
  5. Gaz I'm with Phil unless it's a new kit, I'll check Scalemates to see if I'm buying the latest release. When I bought my 1/12 Tamiya 312T, I neglected to that and wound up buying and expensive kit from 1975 and after the fact discovered Tamiya released the kit not to many years ago with new decals and PE. Just not going to make that mistake again. Keep 'em comin Peter
  6. Mark I'm right with Kai - cammo work is looking fantastic. Keep 'em comin Peter
  7. John Terrific progress and thanks for the pic on how you coaxed the Aires office into the T-28. Keep 'em comin Peter
  8. Mark Got ya! Just go slow and work on the Viggen when time and mood allows. It's a tough build and the cammo scheme is off the chart - just looking so good. Keep 'em comin Peter
  9. Martin Looking so good and even the 'ripping paint' actually looks as if it is nicely done weathering Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Scott Enjoy and I couldn't think of a better way either. Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. Carl Glad to see your youngest is taking up modeling. Please keep us posted on his progress. Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. Sasha Looking so good! Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. Rob Shiver me timbers! The details are amazing and just bring the deck to life. The canons and breech rope ropes are so very detailed and the rope work for them, looks fantastic. Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Thanks Harv Just glad your back on board as I'm not far from the finish line. Keep 'em comin Peter
  15. Thanks Phil, very much appreciated. My three passions have always been: Flying, photography and modeling. I do spend a lot of time photographing and preparing the images for an update. How do you take your photographs: camera or cellphone? The key is lighting and sharpness. Leaving out all the photographic mumble jumbo, if you can focus 1/3rd into the model from front to back, that should give you a reasonably sharp image. I could go on for hours but I would put everyone to sleep including me. Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Scott Nothing like a Paul Fisher kit of a Grumman Cat Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Kev So glad it worked out and all is well now Keep 'em comin Peter
  18. John Kind of reminds me of the colorful schemes Army and Navy aircraft wore between the wars. Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. Sasha Perfect NMF . looking mighty good Keep 'em comin Peter
  20. Always liked the odd and 'street tough' looking armor. Looking forward to a build thread not to far down the road. Keep 'em comin Peter
  21. Hi John You're on a roll and I'll be along for the journey - great subject and love the color scheme. Nice work on the front office - looks mighty good. Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. Congrats on retirement - nothing better. Keep 'em comin Peter
  23. Gaz Moving along at a nice clip and the lower half's weathering looks mighty convincing. Keep 'em comin Peter
