Ok after reading Peter's decisions on his P39, it’s time to finishthe 51. So I thought I’d try and spray the cowls tacked on to the engine, bad idea and this has paused the build. So cowls off and will be cut into component parts and sprayed. Scheme may have to OOB as can’t justify another £20 odd for new decals. also the ZM ones are cartograf…..looks like no work this week ……so may just sit and spray……..

Guys, they say patience is a virtue……….or do want it RIGHT now…….

Gaz, believe me when I say you have more enough talent to pull off a ZM, also I reckon you’d enjoy the experience……just never say never…….

Thanks Gaz, the Academy boxing is no Tamiya kit but is doable. I was very nervous, especially when you read the horror stories of the fins splaying outwards. They are not luckily…..

Same here Peter in time, it looks like the enamel has hardened overnight so I can buff up a couple of areas….

So I thought I shoot some paint at the P38 to see I need to fettle any areas. The only available correct colours I have are Xtracolor enamels, natural grey and faded olive drab. It’s been years since I used Xtracolor (JohnB swears by them). The grey went down a treat but I’d forgotten how long it takes to dry and harden. Admittedly I did mix 50-50 with white spirit, probably a little to thin? Can’t really remember the mixes I used before……

Nice haul…….Can we ask for a WIP please, really want to know how both of these go together……did you go for the bells and whistles for the Helldiver?

That’s one cool tractor, congrats. Never built any prime movers / tractors…….I do like the straight from the factory finish…….dare bet they didn’t stay that clean for long….

The 48th market is getting so good now, also having built the ZM F4, I am not sure if I’d have room for the same plane in 32nd…….the same with the P38’s not that there is a 32nd contender IMHO…….…
