  1. I hope to learn some new words, I gather you east coast boys know some good cuss words……….looking great Peter great to see you motoring on with the builds……….
  2. Appreciated Kai…….
  3. Sublime presentation as ever, yet again I now think I want a spit………..congrats
  4. Mike, not sure how you blend, could you experiment on a paint mule or sheet plastic……….the SB2 looks nicely detailed shame about the fit……love to see more…
  5. Last of the AM for the Tamiya Mosquito build plus a set of barrels for the P38 build……probably all that is left to get for the Mosquito is the cockpit placard……hmmmm maybe……
  6. Stunning Rob, you’re right about the pit, with 48 scale, you can only go so far and there has to be a point where you say enough is enough.......
  7. Stunning.......
  8. Oh no, it’s going to one of those conventions........we need photographic evidence that certain members of LSM didn’t..............(add as required)
  9. Jerry, the AK Extreme in the US are double the average price here in the UK......that’s just bizarre..... on average £4.60 here ($6.50)
  10. Hang on, this has roundels, I thought that was a ................what were the other goodies.......
  11. Looking forward to these words..........3/4 through one ZM and the IV waiting in the lobby..........
  12. I used black primer for a start, insignia white and black take a long time to cover. Also the Gull Grey or which ever it was took umpteen coats. I also forgot about the metal finish tailplanes and tried to use Xtreme metals over Vallejo.......and it went on and on.......then I used Future to try and get a gloss coat and threw the full paint cup over the model.........and then the damn decals silvered..........and then than flat coat didn’t really take either.........I think I’m a builder as I always ##### up the finishing......
  13. Martin, I’d be careful with this car, the steering wheel is on the wrong side......good see a gear lever though.......
  14. Congrats on taking the ultimate step, you are only here once......I’m the wrong side of 60 to contemplate even a historic car build let alone a 1:1 scale plane.......
  15. Looks damn good it me, in 48 it’s really a fine line of getting the pit right.....
  16. Ernie, in the process of, check WIP........you’ll love it, different was of building but so satisfying......stalled on the decals to use so therefore if to go for a NFM.....
  17. Wow Revell, the instruments look amazing.......
  18. Peter, so neat and tidy, looking forward to the masterclass in spraying. It was at this stage mine started going horribly wrong, albeit due to my incompetence..
  19. Thanks Peter, I think I am happy with the cockpit, we are all our worst critics.....everything is just perched in position because I’ll weather the turbochargers etc and add when the the main scheme is finished......thanks for looking in.....
  20. Thanks, much appreciated
  21. Ok, so this is not going to get the P51 finished but.........had a some time at the bench in between furlough, working part time and decorating the house......so the cockpit is just laid in at the moment. If you compare turbochargers the sublime resin from Eduard and the stock Academy, chalk and cheese........pushing on.....whole a day at the bench tomorrow as it’s a national holiday......
  22. This slipped me by Gus. Nice looking pit and as Rob said a bit maso for me as well. Looking forward to the next update....
  23. I’d forgotten about those, I was under the illusion that Eduard had more 1/32 in their stable......you learn something everyday......also I think their E is relatively old, 10 years ??.
  24. It’s brilliant you don’t have move out and move in to the new house all in one day, done that to many times, or is that just the UK?........is there any decorating to be done at the new place?
