You are very kind Ernie, be rest assured there is probably going to awhile until the next jet. The paint finish is absolutely awful and IMHO a very contrived scheme. So going to strip the whole model and start again........The ZM P51 is calling........

Ok, I’m admitting defeat on this one and going to strip all the paint off............Harv suggests Windex ( thanks Harv) which isn’t available over here in the UK, shout out to the guys in UK, what should I use for Vallejo acrylic and Future gloss removal..........

That’s exactly what I did , I misread the unpainted areas as being Light Gull Grey..........so I’ll try and rectify these panels.....simply missed them.....

Thanks Gaz, the kit is really nice and goes together as well as a Tamiya kit IMHO. This being my first jet, I just didn’t pay attention to the various panel colour differences used on jets. .........I have learnt a lot on this one......

So...........just about to start decals, referred to the layout scheme and noticed I’d painted the tail planes completely the wrong colour and the areas just above on the fuselage .........then I found a horrible area that looked like a tractor had run into it......this is after I’d gloss coated ready to decal.........enjoyed the build .......frustrated as hell with this stage.........

Have you tried using your phone camera?........that’s what I use these days.......

the quality is very good, not an excessive part count and relatively cheap. When 1/35 tank kits are starting to cost between £60- 70 mark I do look at them twice....

I never did any Airfix AFV’s in any scale so I missed the experience. I do remember my first model was Airfix Lysander 1/72 in the old header bags......
