  1. That’s very nice, it’s time I built another Spitfire……
  2. Good lighting, eyesight and steady hands is the order of the day and plenty of patience. Hats of to you Rob, when I rebuilt my Truimph GT6 Mk III (1:1) it had an E Type bonnet, at that scale it was a pain to align so at 1:12 wow…….
  3. Another project transiting the bench. This is the stunning Arma Hobby Hurricane IIc in 1/48. The moulding is exceptional and fit is very precise. If these guys went up a scale they would be on a par with WnW. The kit comes with 3D parts but other than those it was OOB. Recommend you check them out…… Trying a fresh method of pre basing using Vallejo black washes and then adding thin coats over, I’ll post finished pictures later.
  4. Mike, as the Kesteven coat of arms quotes PERSEVERANTIA VINCIT' - Perseverance succeeds, you have certainly tamed this one. Not sure if I would have even opened the box……..
  5. Looking amazing, you are going need a bigger kitchen in that last shot…..
  6. Kevin, you’re right……hmmmm now really tempted…….
  7. This slipped past me, looks absolutely incredible with 3D printed parts, metal barrels and PE for under £200 pre order in the UK………..seriously tempted…..……..hats off to Border……
  8. Great airbrush skills, stunning finished build. how did the HobbyEasy go together?
  9. I missed this, absolutely stunning congrats. Some years since I did 72nd probably the eyes wouldn’t stand it now. Great paint and diorama……
  10. Stunning Hubert, I do enjoy left field projects…….
  11. Absolutely stunning Gus, i haven’t opened the box to resin yet but after following your build very tempted. When sanding etc how do you negate the dust? Congratulations on a stunning build……
  12. The quality of the printing is phenomenal, these printers seem to improving exponentially……what is the “dpi” of yours……
  13. It’s been 6 months since last update update, I think I like the faded look, it’s time to start decaling………
  14. I can never get yellow to look solid, I add coat on coat but never seems enough. Scott, what’s the trick…….
  15. Rob, just catching up with this build, cars are a different beasts with this and the F1. Maybe I’ll put these off for awhile. Stunning modelling skills, congrats……
  16. Martin, you are an officer and a gentleman, I’ve wanted the Lanc forever but as you say at 32nd it’s a behemoth. I’ll definitely do a WIP. I have four projects on the bench to spray and decal and then I’ll have to make a decision….
  17. Thanks Scott, luckily no kids and all the ancients are in homes or have carers, so at the present before the outdoor chores start I am going to enjoy the bench……much appreciated though….
  18. Carl, much appreciated. My thoughts are that there are numerous 1/35 accessories you could add to a mixed genre diorama. I also have Borders Fw190 and the possibilities of adding to that are enormous.
  19. Hi all, Happy New Year and hopefully 2025 maybe good to all of us. I’ve been away awhile and thought I’d give LSM another go. The main news is I have joined the league of retired gentlemen as of the end of November last year and I am now settling into uninterrupted benchtime whenever I please. So the bench has been cleaned, existing projects being completed and a plethora of new kits to begin. The Stug and QL Refueller were Xmas presents. The QL is to be included in a diorama with the Border Spitfire Vb all in 1/35. One historical point I didn’t know was the QL Refueller with booms never saw wartime service. The Stug III Ausf F is the missing Pz III in the collection. My preferred online retailer offered 10% discount and free P&P to existing customers over the festive season so the following was a no brainer. The HKM Lancaster in 1/48 is the grail kit for me. Built the Monogram 17G many years ago and always promised myself if the Lanc ever came available it had to added to the stash. Also the size is manageable, 1/32 for a four engined aircraft is just too large. The markings will be from 3 Group airfields. Either, my school I attended was built on part of the dispersal area or from another that has a family connection . Also catching up with what’s been going on.
  20. Yep, didn’t understand and damn word, what’s wrong with the mother tongue or perhaps you are from across the canal………..all I have to say is Henry V………..😃
  21. Or drive an Alfa in the UK and watch it rust before your eyes, engine fell out on my Sud TI………
  22. Happy birthday Peter…..
