  1. Looking mighty fine Peter, I’ve ever only tried one prop hub spiral decal, went horribly wrong………
  2. Looking mighty fine Peter, which scheme are you doing?
  3. Correct Hubert, when I did my SH Tempest a lot of grinding and some very bad words were uttered…………….
  4. Ok, that’s it I’m quitting……….seriously, Pete this is stunning……..
  5. Can I join the list as wanting one 🤞but seriously will follow along Bill…….
  6. Very nice Pete, always wanted to do a big Beau, amazing cockpit and fuselage…
  7. Carl, that’s very kind of you, thank you, I’ll have a look when I start building The kit decals are designed by CrossDelta and printed by Cartograf so as stock items, pretty impressive…….
  8. Another eBay find, approximately half price ………which scheme to do……….all requests on a card to………..
  9. Rob, don’t you love it when a plan comes together. Brave and talented to pull that cockpit glazing together….. congratulations
  10. Same here Bill except the Val just doesn’t push my buttons. If I could find a 1/48 HKM Lancaster on eBay or suchlike at a reasonable cost, maybe…………..
  11. I remember watching that race, please do a WIP on this. Never built any cars or bikes, must remember to add to wish list……….
  12. Thanks Peter, it occurred to me when I did the Gee Receiver, the instructions said sand all the detail off the kit part. Hmmm why not just replace it with sheet styrene, also the spares box now has a beautifully moulded Gee Receiver fascia……..and a spare if I screw up the RedFox item…….
  13. Thanks Kev, much appreciated, hopefully have everything fixed down and in this weekend…….and weathering added…
  14. Thanks Kev, long way to go but very enjoyable, must finish the Elco before the deadline…….
  15. Thanks Carl, much appreciated. I’m just starting on the IP, I’m constructing a base plate for the RedFox so I don’t have to ruin the kit parts just in case. That’s what did for the Gee. I’ll try retain all the kit parts intact.
  16. RedFox Studio new releases, amazingly they are now doing powered-on / powered- off displays…………. https://www.themodellingnews.com/2023/05/review-quick-set-3d-acrylic-interior.html#more
  17. Very nice indeed, congrats….
  18. Those bays look amazing, the Academy ones were a nightmare….really looking forward to doing mine now. The Eduard/ Academy boxing had a number of schemes, so I might use one of those on the Tamiya build……
  19. Much appreciated Martin, I hate having subassemblies floating around in the wind when you’re trying to add stuff…….hence the sprue acts as the perfect platform…..
  20. Sublime as ever……
  21. Thanks Neil, you are more than capable of doing these harnesses, two sets of tweezers, good lighting, CA gel and a lens………good to go……
  22. No worries Peter, I’ve tinkered with the nav’s harness tonight, my benchtime during the week amounts to 20 minutes a day……
  23. Thanks Peter, the pilot and nav seats are just placed in position not glued yet. I am going to get all the harnesses positioned before final assembly……..then add the light weathering……..
  24. Thanks Rob, there are lot of “bits” to paint and repaint. I wasn’t happy with one element so I think I painted it 5 times……..I sprayed the floor on the sprue and just left there. The sprue isn’t large so it acts as a platform rest…….
  25. Just so you guys don’t think I’ve bailed on this already, some in progress…….The harness went to together without any problems except having to use the Hubble telescope to see some elements. Next was to start on the cockpit tub / platform. There is a lot of assembly and painting and re touching but very enjoy. The first two elements of the RedFox 3D decals, the Gee and Drift boxes. The Gee box looks amazing, to me anyway. Everything is setting and literally laid in position. Next is to sort the harnesses out and lay them out plus fix pilot and nav seats in place………then add some weathering……….that’s only pages 1 and 2 ……
