  1. Thanks Martin for curating this, wow some stunning models……….
  2. Peter, with your decal conundrum is exactly the reason I just do not enjoy the spraying and decalling stage. So many of builds have been in my opinion compromised because of spraying or the decalling. To quote John a giant PITA. The build looks amazing fingers crossed for the masks. As far as the Skyraider, I’m kicking myself that I passed on a ZM plus weapons pack for under £90 🙄
  3. It looks like 2014 was a good year to return, I was late 2014, just found a picture of the bench being assembled. Gaz you did a lot better than I did for first one back.
  4. Welcome Scott to LSM and welcome back to the hobby. Most of us here are all returnees. I plumped for Vallejo when I came back, being acrylics, there is literally no odour and are water based. I still use a booth and if I remember Vallejo recommend 15 psi, it’s personal taste on pressure.
  5. Very nice but it doesn’t look anything like a LancasterF4VosperMosquitoSpitfire……………thingy…………
  6. That’s bloomin gorgeous……..wow great sea scape, I’d love to do this with the PT Boat but it’s too big. Congrats PW, stunning……
  7. Hmmmm I’ll have to look for some references….thanks Gaz…..
  8. The ZM F4 was my first jet since returning to the hobby, it was amazing to build…….
  9. Thanks Rob. The “rope” is fishing thread for fixing eyes onto a fishing rod. I bought the reel of thread maybe 45 years ago……….
  10. Thanks Gaz much appreciated, I need to learn how the rope would have been secured…….
  11. Rob, totally agree. Your last statement sums it up……..we can all drive and have done for years what we cannot do is drive like an F1 driver, it’s down to a persons own skill level…….
  12. You and Diane are an inspiration to us all, thank you and relieved that the results were good news…….
  13. Hmmmmmm you’re just saying that because you have nearly finished…….looking good…..
  14. Good start. First time I’ve seen a build of anything 1/16 scale. Surprised how little detail there is OOB, like the additions you’re making……
  15. Peter, you know when you have that gnawing in your brain that something just doesn’t fit right……..I have it with this rope……Looking at what I have remaining on the sprues, it’s not a lot………….going to have to think hard if I detail the liferaft………..there is a Mosquito in my ear that keeps saying to me BUILD ME………..also I have spray and fit all the subassemblies……
  16. Is there no limits to your talent……….impressive, looking forward to the finish…..
  17. Thanks Peter, it’s slow but sure, the rope just doesn’t work, I’ll have a look in the spares box……
  18. Some bench time has been dedicated to improving the mast. Luckily I found original elevations of the late mast. The first pic is the kit part and the other two as we stand today. Not sure if the flag rope looks good or not, jury still out. Any comment’s welcome………
  19. Cool John, are you going to do the chipped aluminium / camo look ?
  20. Come on John, you’re giving us so called modellers and bad reputation, with you and Panzerwomble you guys wrap a build in 3 days when take us lot that time to open the box and read the instructions…………looking amazing as ever though…….
  21. Fantastic news on the biopsy, it’s a question you never want to ask someone, brilliant news. The 109 is looking mighty fine Peter. Your challenges with primer etc is the reason I do not like the spray and finishing stages of a build, something always goes wrong, does for me. I always seem to have to compromise at this stage. Hence the Corsair and Mustang sitting here awaiting top coating etc,,,,,,,
  22. I remember that, so wishing I could pull the plug, saying that I’ve only 3 more years to state pension……….
