  1. Looks amazing, congrats….
  2. Being only 15 minutes flying from RAF Coningsby home of BBMF, I know what you mean. The Lanc came straight over the house the other weekend at 200ft……….Spits and Hurries are always going or coming back from somewhere……
  3. Heard a different engine note and it transpired to be……
  4. Apparently Resicast and Fruil Model components are both closing down before the end of the year. Hopefully someone will carry on the lines as both are amazing………
  5. Absolutely stunning Dave…..
  6. Rob, absolutely stunning. Having it been to the SOD twice that’s an amazing result. Congratulations on a stunning build…..
  7. Thanks Ron, my first ever half track but not my last………
  8. I suspect they are for channel recesses etc as the go down to 0.1mm. The definition of broach in engineering is to remove material. I’m going to use as a chisel for injection pin removal and such like. That’s the reason I chose the largest blade size……..
  9. I blinked……..looking mighty fine……
  10. Thanks Gaz, it’s been finished for awhile but just didn’t get around to photographing it. Halftracks bring another level of complexity to to AFV builds, I did enjoy it………
  11. Thanks Gus, much appreciated. I definitely use the mud and grass product again and it being acrylic it’s not a bother the clean up if you make a mistake……
  12. Topping the supplies up. If you have never looked at the Dspiae range you must. My latest purchases, the chisel broach is very nicely made and the drill bits are amazing……..I do like the AK pencils as well as they give you a lot of control…
  13. Thanks Rob. I did enjoy the build as this was my first half track, I have two others in the stash including the 18T Famo and trailer. The weathering this time actually included mud and grass from the Vallejo Environment range. What I like about these, they are also acrylic……
  14. Congratulations guys and both from this side of the pond. Both builds are amazing. Thanks Ernie for being a generous ringmaster……..
  15. Peter, you are spot on about mixing up our build subjects. The PT boat for me was a complete departure and was a lot of fun, with your and Rob’s car builds, I maybe tempted into an automotive build…..
  16. Following with interest John, a Whirlwind would make a good comic for my Mossie………..
  17. Cool project Rob. I’ve never seen one of these 40 year old kits built. Cars is another genre I haven’t yet tried so will be following with interest……..
  18. I have used RedFox on the Mosquito, they are a little different as you do not have to use water and are pretty solid panels. I painted the cockpit and IP added the RedFox items and the. I’ll literally add a dry fine dust over the panels just to hit them back a little, using dry pigments you do not have to seal………I’ll then weather the cockpit as required …….that’s my process………
  19. Mark, great weathering, congrats……
  20. Apologies I have been very remiss of posting the completed build of this unique halftrack. A really fun build and a typical Dragon offering. All the usual instruction frustrations and trying to fathom the correct build sequence. The challenge was also how to paint and weather an interior and exterior at the same time. Probably a little heavy on the weathering for some peoples tastes but these were workhorses. Also add the unburnt fuel coating every surface. Hopefully they picture will be of interest….. WIP build log link…..
  21. I think they have a couple of weeks off now, Jimmy will have to play……
  22. Looking good Kev I’ve heard good stuff about Eduard’s Spit’s…….
