  1. Peter, looks amazing……never tried the method you used………..I do swear by this AK product though……and is completely re-useable…….
  2. Looks absolutely stunning Mark……I gonna have to get me a Lanc…….
  3. Me to………hats off to you for your scratch building…..
  4. For me no but I’m probably in the minority……….total 19……..
  5. Kev, just catching up, stunning build and the decals look great. Your unbuilt stock makes my 19 unbuilt stock look bad…………
  6. Phew…….I blinked…..
  7. So sad, grew up with Captain Kirk and his crew…..
  8. I’m giving up modelling whilst looking at this stunning work, congrats……
  9. Sorry to hear about the total strip, there always some little gremlin lurking ready to bite you in ass in this hobby. Saying, that your finished model will be perfect as ever…….shooting paint on the Wildcat today, wish me luck….
  10. Going follow this for sure, which products are you using….
  11. Welcome to LSM, wow, I’d forgotten about this thread. Wonder if anyones point of view have changed. I am still using Vallejo and still loving them. Two reasons they can be thinned perfectly and also being acrylic, no obnoxious smells. For NMF I have used Xtreme Metals and and also some old Xtracolour. Both are very pungent even with spray booths and vented externally…..
  12. Love to see a WIP of this……please…….
  13. Thanks Gaz much appreciated, the angled sides of the 251’s can be tricky to know when to assemble…..
  14. Thanks Peter, with AFV’s it’s very easy to go overboard on the weathering. I think I have the balance right now. I was looking back at my first model I ever showed on LSM, not a hint of weathering……..it was a Marder IIIH which now looks to clean in the cabinet…
  15. Thanks Rob, half tracks take a little more thought with the undercut sides etc….you still have one in the stash?
  16. You’ve put the hex on it now John…….
  17. Cool enough to spray and being on holiday means time ……..so the 251 prepared before assembly for the next stage. Due to the tub structure more prep required than your standard AFV. So component assemblies ready……
  18. 🤪you spotted the elephant in the room. I’ve three projects now all lining up for the booth, the Wildcat, Flammpanzerwagen and the Panzer III L. Loathed to start something else before clearing these. …..
  19. Thanks Gaz, I’m not really sure I’ll do some research. The exhausts are central so I guess some residue…..watch this space. Interested in your pastel technique….
  20. Thanks Peter much appreciated, spraying light grey is always tricky I find……..
  21. Looking forward to this, haven’t seen one these Trumpy kits in the build stage……
  22. On holiday for a couple of weeks, so in between days out time to start clearing the backlog in the booth……. I think I have enough modulation on the u/s of the Wildcat????
  23. Sorry to hear about the colour issues Peter, ironically, today I was looking up the history of AK, Ammo etc. This how I understand it, AK started as a partnership with Mig and another. All paints were manufactured by Vallejo. Mig left to setup Ammo and AK split from Vallejo and now producing their own range as is Ammo……
  24. Congrats, any pics of the model…..
