  1. Looking very good Gaz, figure painting is amazing, sorry the mesh didn’t workout, soldering irons, fingers and tiny parts do not really mix……
  2. Very polished build, love the factory fresh look. There are so many variations of AFV’s on this chassis…..
  3. John, love the result, stunning as usual. Great perseverance like the never say never attitude. This is the only one I’ve ever seen completed. Didn’t they do a wingfold AM or am I dreaming. If they did should we dare you……
  4. Well back, I always get confused with interior colours for AFV’s……..
  5. Peter, I’ve been experimenting with spraying the engine with Xtreme metal gunmetal / Alu and spraying semi black acrylic over the top. You can then scrub some of the black off to show the bare metal. Just a thought…..
  6. Thanks Gaz, the Eduard covers are thin and I’ve preformed them, I think they will be ok. On the Wildcat it was only the tray covers which were hinged……I think….
  7. Thanks Kevin, this hasn’t been to bad. As I think Ernie said once, a true shake and bake kit tends to become boring after a while…….
  8. Thanks Rob, agreed and I’ve actually got the correct colours in stock for a change…….
  9. Thanks Peter, ironically the weather last Friday was 33 degrees followed by Sunday at 14 degrees. The roots took 3 attempts, I may just revisit again……
  10. A book originally published in 1961 by Shirer who reported in Germany up to the outbreak and then covered Nurember. He apparently then had access to state files.and diaries………I read it probably 40 years ago…….so here goes again….
  11. Peter, wow….flawless as ever……great start and almost John’s speed of building. I’m similar to Rob, only ever built one Spit in my life, Airfix 1/24. Very badly I may add was in my teens…….so it’s about time to remedy that……
  12. I think I’m happy with the priming? The wing roots were a PITA……. The gunbay covers are PE so just blue tacked in position…..
  13. Missed this one, stunning I’d need a telescope to work at that scale…….
  14. Rob, this looks absolutely beautiful, I’d skip the rigging and so you’re finished……..that’s if I ever got this far…
  15. Mark, I know your pain, all three of our cats are now hunting in the big sky. Unfortunately all three went the same way as your Min. We have now decided no more furry friends, the pain is just to much when they go…….thoughts are with you….
  16. Welcome aboard Ernie, dive and have some fun."….
  17. You will never cuss another Trumpeter kit now…….or perhaps you will…..
  18. Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has a C47, here is her history…… BBMF Dakota ZA947 was constructed as a C-47A by Douglas at Long Beach, California, USA, in 1942. It was delivered to the USAAF on 7th September 1942, 75 years ago this month. A little over a week later, on 16th September, it was transferred under the Lend-Lease agreement to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), re-designated as a Dakota III and allocated the RCAF serial number ‘661’. During the Second World War Dakota ‘661’ served entirely in Canada.
  19. 1.919 CAD……..small fry…….UK …. the cheapest here is 2.96 CAD……. Hubert , your prices are even more…..
  20. Congrats, looks absolutely amazing, can’t wait to crack mine open now. I’m of the same opinion, when I did the Ju 88 it’s was a delight to build…..
  21. Wow Peter this is gorgeous, not a genre I have ever tried, congrats….
  22. Kevin, looks absolutely amazing, the weathering I reckon is perfect…….congrats…..
  23. 90 for 1 and trailing by 463…….let’s get to lunch tomorrow and see, if we are three or four down then as Private Fraser used to say………..
