I ordered ( and just received) 3 of those, from Armory. Whilst not as fine and detailed as the one I designed, they are very good, and much better than any IM R-985 … Hubert -

Revell/SH Hawker Tempest in 1/32-Finished
HubertB replied to KevinM's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
IIRC, from other build threads I read, it’s the cockpit structure that interferes with the wing-to-fuselage joint. I may be wrong, but « forewarned is forearmed » … Hubert -

« Blown away » looks like a most appropriate description …😉 Hubert -
Nice progress, Ernie. Yes, the photo-etched IP looks crisper than the plastic one, but just adding Airscale decals would already have produced a convincing result. It just shows that Infinity are on the (normal) learning curve of a new kit manufacturer, with each new one better than the previous one. Roden, ICM, and even Special Hobby - or Tamiya for that matter - did not do any differently. Keep it coming, as Peter would say Hubert

This is where I realise that, as a Frenchman, my command of English is not that good … I never imagined that « roughing » a kit meant what I saw in the above pics …. 🧐 Hubert -

I think it’s going a bit of time still before DBMK’s releases (there is also a Sea Fury) are available… Hubert -

I’d sell at least 3 kidneys to get a 1/32 Beech 18 (and a good 17 as well - having in the stash both the Scratchbuilders’ resin kit and the old ITC / Staggerwings Unlimited IM « kit », I know what « good » means ) Hubert -
Hi Marcin, Thanks for the offer that I will gladly take. I’ll PM you my email address. My build is stalled (but not relegated to the SOD ) and needs resuming. Other life events took precedence, as happens very often. I saw you finished build on LSP, and was in awe with the result. I’ll be happy if mine turns out half as good as yours ! I saw your build received a number of awards. Congratulations ! Each award was absolutely well-deserved. Dbaj o siebie przyjacielu ! Hubert

Well, this is as far as I can go on the cockpit and IP detailing, Thanks to Airscale 1/48 decals (yes, 1/32 dials were too big for the IP openings), some AnyZ detailing bits, and a decision to go for less realism, and more visible details, this is as far as I can go. Not the best with macro-photo, but it looks good enough to the naked eye. Time to move on to other parts, like the seat, and the wheel wells. Maybe I can finish this one before the deadline 🤞 Hubert

So, IS the new Airfix Spitfire lXc worth it?
HubertB replied to Clunkmeister's topic in Modelling Discussion
Worth it, but the right question is : « Do you need a 1/24 Spitfire in the stash ? » Hubert -
The first vipers for the Czech Air Force are ready!
HubertB replied to Martinnfb's topic in General Discussion
As i have low interest in flying eggbeaters, I went digging. In summary, the Viper is not so old (first IOC in 2011), and is said to be faster and more agile than the Apache, with an air-to-air capacity the Apache does not have, but it has less firepower. Definitely not a choice guided by economics only ... Hubert -

Revell 1/32 Hurricane llb. Finishing touches.

Some squirrels are known to be hungrier than the famed carpet monster 😉. Yours was a lost cause, Ernie 😂 Hubert PS: besides loving to tease you, my friend, that’s a bummer. Fortunately, Revell have a good spares department -

When working on the details of my Cutlass cockpit recently (for which I need to make pics and post an update), I found out that a toothpick, which can be trimmed to the point you want, and dipped in paint, is a better ally - for me at least - than a brush … I thought immediately it could work on the kit’s recesses representing the fasteners Hubert, still insisting that you ruin your racer -

Seeing the above pics, you now need to highlight those very visible fasteners on each side of the cowling, Rob Hubert, or how to give advice to ruin a perfectly good model 😂
