I am curious to know if there is a good large scale Tracker? I always liked this aircraft and the RAN used to fly it. Watch this video of a Grumman Tracker fly through a wave.

Soo.... What did you just get???
Sir Desmond Glazebrook replied to Dave J's topic in Modelling Discussion
Oh and these two last Friday. Big shout out to my 91 year old dad who gave me some money when I was cleared of my cancer last year. Dad told me to spend it solely on stuff for fun. These days with my body being approximately 70% numb, modelling is the perfect thing. I won't drive a car again unless feeling returns to my hands and feet. Too dangerous. Okay to play drums happily. Aside from the large kits today, I got 2 of my favorite airframe. MiG 29 and Rafale. Thanks dad! -

I also got these. The GodHandtool soft sanding sticks are my new favorite thing, as well as the Tamiya tape/cellophane wrap for masking. -
Bad light has hindered my work today. Although I began modelling at 8 a.m.. The Frank gets its basic camo tomorrow. The day will be spent adding coats and rubbing them back. Unlike the Tony, the Frank will be Brown and grey. My day tomorrow is only interrupted for 3 hours when I have to drum. I took advantage of the drizzling rain to go to the the hobby shop for supplies. The Tony now is a mess with splotched various shades of Kawasaki green. These will be blended together if the light is better, in between work done on the Frank. Due to my current high level of confidence that I can complete the original build, I now plan to have both completed together. When that is done I will complete the Tojo. I will have gone from nought to three hundred in one go! It is such a relief.

Well my spoil myself at Christmas ends today. And to celebrate I bought these two lovely models, with special thanks to the membership here who helped choose and decide. Many thanks. -
Thanks Rob!

Has anyone modelled any ground effect craft?

When I first saw this thing I wondered if I was seeing things. So bizzare as to be beautiful. -

Fly Saab J-29 Tunan ETA?
Sir Desmond Glazebrook replied to Sir Desmond Glazebrook's topic in Modelling Discussion
Thanks Hubert. I dunno about clearing space, I am ATM considering the Trumpeter Skyraider at 20% discount in a sale that ends tomorrow. Especially having had a GWH MiG 29 and Hobby Boss Rafale arrive from BNA yesterday. I envision a time when I won't get hired to play drums ever again. In which case I will be like: "Yay no more drumming, loads more modelling!" -

Great stories Hubert. I too want the Bucker. Painted in Udet's crazy landing bird's scheme. -
We need to start a petition......
Sir Desmond Glazebrook replied to zavod44's topic in General Discussion
I think everyone would offer their own individual choices. For example, I would not want a Kikka. As Japanese aircraft are my favorite subject, I would certainly choose a B5N or a Ki-55 over a Kikka any day. So already we differ. I am very happy to learn we are getting a Val. A Viggen would be sensational. -
Thanks Jeff. I used Mig One Shot primer black on the Frank. I forgot all about the Mig primed and used Mr Surfacer on the Tony. I rubbed the Mr Surfacer back with 4000 and 6000 soft sanding sticks. The Mig One Shot required no rubbing back. Tomorrow morning, Sunday, I get to spend the day working on the models. Both will receive gloss coats so then to be painted metal. I have been attempting the hairspray technique with large doses of failure. I think my paints may be wrong for this technique, although Chris Wauchop is able to do it using the same paints. Both the Tony and Frank will be wearing camo anyway, except for the belly of the Tony. The Frank canopy was painted yesterday.

Hi guys. This is one 1/32 aircraft I am anticipating greatly. Is it released or if not, when? Thank you.
