  5. Before I make a start on the big stuff, I have a few 1/48 to build first and get my skills up to scratch. This is the first one. I am going to make it as a 111 Sqn aircraft based at Dyce in 1941. The only AM I am using is the pilot and ground crew set from Dartmoor Military Models. The plastic is quite soft. His feet are nowhere near the rudder pedals, but as the plane is at rest I think he can be forgiven :-) This is my first "New tool" kit and I have to say I am really enjoying how well it is going together. Cheers Kev

  15. After negotiating heavily with Santa it has been agreed he will leave a 1/48 Revell GR4 and also a 1/24 Airfix Mosquito. That is next year sorted :-)
  16. I have run out of superlatives for this build, absolutely stunning, thank you for sharing. Will definitely be used as a guide when I start mine next year. Well done fella Cheers Kev
  17. Fantastic Pete, good luck at the competition cheers Kev
  18. Cheers Phil, managed to obtain one from Jadlam, via a well-known auction site for £78.87. For the size of the kit and amount of time it will take I am quite happy to pay that. Just hope I can do it justice :-) Meanwhile, Pete is blowing me away with his work, fantastic stuff! Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers Kev
  19. Just read the whole thread Pete, fantastic work and very inspiring. This kit has been on my radar for a long time, even though like you I have just returned to modelling for the first time in 30 years or so. Seeing your sterling work has given me the nudge I need to source a kit I think. I quite like the way a lot of detail has to be added, this is where a lot of the appeal lies. Thank you very much and good luck with the rest of the build. Cheers Kev
