  1. Stitching? Are you kidding me? I admire, but wouldn’t try it myself!
  2. My greatest hope for WNW was that they would eventually release all of the Albatros fighters so that I would one day build and collect them all. But alas, it wasn't to be. So, what I have begun to do is look for Roden kits at decent prices. I got this one for about 2/3 the going rate.
  3. Thank you! That is the 1978 mouldings in a 2005 box... 1/48 scale. I wouldn't wish it on any one. If I do another in this scale, it'll be Tamiya. When I bought it I saw the 2005 box (this was three years ago) and thought I was getting a new kit. I hadn't heard of Scalemates at the time.
  4. Dude, that looks fricking amazing!
  5. I have three Trumpy kits. One armor and two aircraft. Both aircraft were too disappointing to put a lot of work into. Life is too short to spend fixing junk.
  6. What was on my bench... is now off!
  7. What's wrong widdit? Being Trumpy, there are so many options.
  8. Nice and messy, Harv!
  9. Shit... just realized they all have the same face!
  10. Frank, Glad to see ya back! All of those details you did... it doesn't matter who'll see them, or who knows they're there. The important thing is if you enjoyed doing them, even if it you were cursing through the whole progress. Remember, models just aren't just about the destination, they're about the journey, too. I like the dirty look of your surfaces. It just looks right. Stencils are a pain... but they add to the model, for certain! Gaz
  11. Nice to see activity, my friend. I have to say, trying to salvage Trumpy kits with filler ranks among the most hated of things I've tried to do in 1/32. I tried Mr.Dissolved Putty (NEVER AGAIN), Automotive Primer (too Hot), and CA. Of the three, CA is the best, but you have to sand it while it's still soft...like right after it dries and settles. Let it go overnight, and you'll get rid of the plastic quicker than the CA. Plus, you have to work in small areas. I've started 2 Trumpy 1/32 scale kits. They both ended up as spare parts. I want to do a large scale P-40B. But if none ever surfaces from a good company, I'll live without. Gaz
  12. Really coming along nicely, Harv!
  13. Thank you, Martin! I wouldn't mind doing a Luftwaffe Tornado, myself.
  14. Or we can compromise.... as long as it says "MARINES" on it?
  15. Man, your detailing is second to NONE!
  16. F-4J. This forum is Corsair heavy, anyway.
  17. Brilliant job, Ern! Looks great in daylight. Better yet that you enjoyed it.
  18. Thank you! Fortunately, I had a nice picture to give me this weathering idea. Thank you!
  19. G'day friends, I'm happy to complete the Takom kit. The kit is OOB with the exception of the main gun which was replaced with a metal barrel made my Master Models, a Dragon MG 42, and three figures from Miniart which were at one time tankers for a Russian Valentine kit. The berets and comm gear were made by me.
  20. I found an ALB D.III OAW from Roden at an acceptable price. Only 37 GBP incl. shipping. Anything else is double that.
