  1. Where would you go to even find them? Never seen them advertised.
  2. hahaha.... I rear-ended the person in front of me when the person in front of them panicked on amber. Fortunately they had a tow bar and ball, so I didn;t damage them at all. It's an old vehicle and though it runs well, I'm pretty sure that is more than 5k in damages.
  3. Wrecked my Hilux on Tuesday. It's almost as old as Martin so no point in investing money on it. Faithful steed! Just took the tags off. Now I gotta find someone to buy it. Engine runs great! Solid rubber and new battery.
  4. Tony, looking amazing! This is one bird I was looking forward to foiling one day.
  5. WHAT? Closed slats? WTF!! Anyway... my spending habits are getting a big change... I had to apply for a car loan today. I wrecked my ute on Tuesday. I won't be rushing to buy one, now.
  6. Man... as cool as that bird must have been... it's kinda fugly.
  7. Well John, Hate to say it, but you might need something different. Maybe armor. Maybe not U.S. Maybe you need to envision something where you don't have to deal with cockpits, Wing roots, leading and trailing edges. In other words, something that doesn't have all the pitfalls and nuances of an aircraft model. Failing that, put yourself into DIY or other chores (family/church/charity... pick your poison) and use so much time that you need the reward of model building. I think if we have too much time for our hobby, that it becomes less rewarding, and becomes common and boring. HTH Gaz
  8. It's as sweet looking as any unarmed aircraft. Certainly better than any Cessna or Piper Cub... or even Fieseler Storch looking thing.
  9. Stitching? Are you kidding me? I admire, but wouldn’t try it myself!
  10. My greatest hope for WNW was that they would eventually release all of the Albatros fighters so that I would one day build and collect them all. But alas, it wasn't to be. So, what I have begun to do is look for Roden kits at decent prices. I got this one for about 2/3 the going rate.
  11. Thank you! That is the 1978 mouldings in a 2005 box... 1/48 scale. I wouldn't wish it on any one. If I do another in this scale, it'll be Tamiya. When I bought it I saw the 2005 box (this was three years ago) and thought I was getting a new kit. I hadn't heard of Scalemates at the time.
  12. I have three Trumpy kits. One armor and two aircraft. Both aircraft were too disappointing to put a lot of work into. Life is too short to spend fixing junk.
  13. What's wrong widdit? Being Trumpy, there are so many options.
  14. Shit... just realized they all have the same face!
  15. Frank, Glad to see ya back! All of those details you did... it doesn't matter who'll see them, or who knows they're there. The important thing is if you enjoyed doing them, even if it you were cursing through the whole progress. Remember, models just aren't just about the destination, they're about the journey, too. I like the dirty look of your surfaces. It just looks right. Stencils are a pain... but they add to the model, for certain! Gaz
  16. Nice to see activity, my friend. I have to say, trying to salvage Trumpy kits with filler ranks among the most hated of things I've tried to do in 1/32. I tried Mr.Dissolved Putty (NEVER AGAIN), Automotive Primer (too Hot), and CA. Of the three, CA is the best, but you have to sand it while it's still soft...like right after it dries and settles. Let it go overnight, and you'll get rid of the plastic quicker than the CA. Plus, you have to work in small areas. I've started 2 Trumpy 1/32 scale kits. They both ended up as spare parts. I want to do a large scale P-40B. But if none ever surfaces from a good company, I'll live without. Gaz
