Golden arches?

The Chinese are pretty amazing at the copy game. And I'm not saying I approve. A long while ago I wanted to buy a Mauser C96. Probably the ugliest, yet coolest pistol in the world. I didn't want a Chinese copy so I bought a book about them. Included were some pics of the copies... and they were pretty good... except for the one where they put the "M" upside down. So, the pistol was engraved "Wauser". Recently at a club meeting, I was told of a practice for disseminating copied goods within the People's Republic only. Apparently, the model kits involved were sold in plain, white boxes. But these sales are all out in the open. I'm sure some kind of deal was struck.

Dude... Free your mind from little bottles that say exactly what you want them to say and drain your wallet. Open your perspective to the ease of mixing Luftwaffe paint.... RLM 02 is just a light grey with a hint of green, or green and brown... Lighten with white if doing landing gear. RLM 66 is just dark grey RLM 76 is just sky blue lightened (a lot) with white and a tiny amount of green added RLM 65 is just sky blue lightened slightly with white RLM 74 is just medium grey with a hint of green RLM 75 is just light grey with a tiny hint of purple But if you must have acrylic, both MIG and AMMO make sets for early and late Luftwaffe. But they are pure acrylic and fragile. I usually thin them with Future when airbrushing to make them stronger. Good luck!

Nossir... can't say I have. TBH, my favorite Ghia's have the chopped top, California style. Not that I could drive them anyway. I had a friend with an 80' Corvette with Targa tops. For me to ride, the Targa tops had to be off. VW's are great cars. -

This was the first car IRL I ever attempted to buy. I loved it's classic shape. Unfortunately when I sat in it, my chin was on my chest. I was shattered. Maybe one day I'll build this one. I wonder if anyone makes moon hubcaps for it. Sometimes height isn't an advantage. -

Thank you, Rob! I certainly would be worried to share the road with fast tanks, too. -

Then came a spattering with filters, then sprayed filters: IN Sunlight: And in blinding benchlight: Tracks, wheels, and other fun to follow... as well as streaking... -
Well...I have less and less respect for PJ every day... I don;t know if we could have ever made ends meet for WNW because I don't know how the money was spent. I have a feeling that the artists and designers were probably paid very, very well. But he ran WNW stupidly. When the world wants apples, why you go and give us lemons?

I built that kit. Pretty nice, but had to lengthen the spinners a little bit.

Nice looking work! Good luck with the spar.

Looks good, Rob. When I paint the Tamiya clears with a brush, I thin them with levelling thinner. Makes them much easier to work with, and they lay nice and smooth.

heh... only four posts here. At TOS and FB it's a bit more active. So far sounds like they're the WNW molds... which is cool. I just hope Meng got some of the molds for other aircraft. Ppl are begging for the Lanc and the 0/400 now. But I have doubts that Meng is feeling suicidal. My biggest concern is the detail decals and the decals themselves. Let's hope Meng decides to make a lot of different WWI aircraft models.

Thanks for that.

Good luck!

Some pin wash close ups of my Leopard 2A4: It probably looks a little over the top... but there will be a fade coat done using an idea I had recently. Gaz -

Some nice looking armor above, Martin and Gusmac! I'm doing the WNW thing: Can't say enough about how well I like the HGW belts.
