Santa Ana was the other contender. Would Sam Houston been a happier choice? Lol. -

One has to wonder where it all went. Not that it matters. Just like all of the water in the world has been re-used over the millennia. Your morning coffee probably had Pancho Villa's urine in it. -
Nice!

Love the 'texture' you give to everything. Makes it look more real and less like a model. -

Looking forward to seeing your vision come to fruition. Couldn't make myself build a damaged 109, tho. Love em too much. -

How has the mad-rivetter treated this kit? I know in the 109 and p-40 kits I have, there are many oval rivet hoels because they weren't made perpendicular to the fuselage surface. Gaz... Love the Razorback. Bubbletop... not so much. -

I think artistic and creative and visionary people have different working brains than the rest of us. Just a theory of mine... no hard evidence or anything. I know they say Einstein's physical brain was said to be no different than a normal brain... but there is still more to the brain than science has grasped. -

I love everything produced before the 80's. After that it's hit or miss. Three of a Perfect Pair is an awesome bit of music. Even my daughter likes it. The wife... not so much. -

PCM's TA 152C as Racer
GazzaS replied to GazzaS's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Thank you for the kind words and likes, everyone! Ernie, The landing gear indicators on the dorsal side of the wings really complicates handling considerations. In their very short existence, they’ve been bent repeatedly and repainted at least 4 times. I’m glad I made them from copper wire and not melted sprue as originally thought of. I’m not really looking to damage them again. Gaz -
I can only do single engined birds in 1/32. Not even game to do a Do-335. I could barely get my Ta-152 into the display cabinet... long fuselage and all. Honestly... I don't know if I have the attention span for a ginormous model.

Zu schnell für Dich!! The Final Update 21/8/19
GazzaS replied to GazzaS's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Thank you, Ernie! Actually,... I have been tinkering with the idea of a racing 109K. The main maneuver problem with the 109 was that the controls became so heavy at speed, that it couldn't turn because the pilot didn't have enough strength to fight the airflow over the control surfaces. But, when the USAAF came out with the Sabrejet, they solved the problem by making all of the controls hydraulically assisted. I wonder how many 109 and P-38 pilots might have survived if they only had hydraulically assisted elevators? A P-63 would looks snazzy as a race plane... In polished NMF or a daring color. A Ju-88 would be way too big for my space... even with big PW engines. I only have one Hasegawa F in my stash right now... I only have about 40 kits in my stash at any given time... I try to complete one every 4-6 weeks... Short attention span, you see! Gaz -

Hello Friends! Finally can call this done. Here are some tidbits before I link it to the completed LSM forum. Love the PE radiator and oil cooler! PE belts. I found canopy glue real useful with these! And finally the business end of it. Thanks for looking... RFI soon! -
