Nothing better than hot breakfast in the field! Hot Spam, powdered eggs, tinned fried potatoes, cold toast, OJ in a waxed cardboard box, and the best hot black coffee of your life! Those were the days!

Some people will eat anything! I don’t see how adding some highbrow name to guts or animals the consistency of snot is considered fine quisine.

That pit looks great! Love the wiring behind the IP! -
When I was in Desert Storm, I asked my father to send me a care package (which I paid for). In it was a bottle of Listerine. Some cookies, and thankfully a few tins of SPAM. The whole gun crew was very happy to turn over their MRE crackers to be made in to SPAM sandwiches. After four months of MRE's and hot meals that weren't much better than MRE's, everybody loved it. I still buy a tin of it occasionally for fast, easy sandwiches. Great with American Mustard! Never Underestimate the SPAM! Gaz

I'm not a big fan of any fictional genres. I think some of the original Star Trek ships might look cool to model with lights... but there is a lot more real stuff for me to model. Gaz

Thanks, mate! I’m certainly drawn to many of their unique designs. I draw the line at paper panzers and prototypes. I would much rather build stuff that saw action.

Thank you, Carl! It’s size really grabs you once you get the tracks and fighting compartment on. I gotta do some figures to get some scale to it.

Thank you, mate! I really intend to have some fun with the weathering. With most of the soft steel torn or shot away, the Zimmerit heavily damaged, as well as a few gouges from deflected shells. A lot of my plans come from the fact that the Machine looks best in my eyes with less skirting and no counterweight on the barrel.

Hi Rob, thank you! yes, I plan to do a wash on the upper surfaces to match the lower. The photos I have seen of the Sturmtiger show clean white metal. I imagine the matte coat will take care of any sheen. Gaz

I left this one neglected for a while. Now I'm at the weathering stage. The Friuls seem to add an air of heaviness to the kit.

Man... if I had a grand invested in a kit... I'd wanna be building it before the grim reaper decides my time is up!

That's an awesome looking kite! I can't imagine anybody handling it! However, I witnessed at a show this year that all of the winners get carried to the photo table. It kind of gives me resolve to fix my kits to bases in the future so they can be picked up by the base. I can't imagine how you packed that thing to travel. I need to get some memory foam. I can't think of anything else that will provide support and shock absorption. Gaz -
Time for another CORSAIR! LOL

Nice Progress, John! I reckon you are the single reason that Tamiya still continues to make Corsairs...lol -
