Rob, Great job on the corsair. I like the weathering. I actually like it more than those birds modelled with so much zinc chromate yellow showing that you're distracted from the beauty of the plane itself. Kudos! The subtle directional airflow weathering over the wings is a great, subtle addition. The finishing steps... They are exhausting, I agree. Trying to add tiny bits without putting glue blobs over your carefully manicured finish... maneuvering the kit around hopefully without knocking off protrusions or damaging the paint... it wears you out. And then the pilot... That's one of the reasons I try to do the crew before I finish the plane...

That looks awesome, Peter. The top wing decals kinda throw me... they seem so light. -
Nice start, Chris! I did a Voodoo back in 1978. No picture available... sorry.

I have 11 years to go... to reach the state retirement age... and to pay off my mortgage. I may still keep working after... I'm not very social... if I don;t have friends at work, I won;t have friends at all. -

Hard to see indeed. Even with my glasses on, many of the rivet holes are so tiny. But to risk going over them again is an invitation to disaster. -
Nice pit, John.

No, Peter. All are recessed. Just a hole size difference. Unfortunately, rivet wheels aren't the best tool in the world to replicate rivets. -

Great gift! You are a thoughtful guy! Well done and happy holidays! -
Not this time... the hens were doing all of the work while I was drinking screwdrivers.

I won't bore you with the details... but it's warm enough to have the air conditioning on.
