Looks good... but I can understand why many would want yellow wires.

Looks fab, Kevin. Looking forward to more. -
I got an itty bitty one from Ebay for 20 bucks and is just big enough to hold an airbrush or jewelry. How much that one run you?

My father has a thing for Ruger revolvers. He lives in Alaska, so carrying is not a problem. .357 Mag - no problem. .44 Super Black Hawk - no problem .50 Cal Ruger Super Redhawk - After 5 rounds, my hand hurtlike a mofo! Kinda miss my Wlather P-38. But didn't need it (not allowed to have or carry) here in Australia (unless you are in a gun club, and it stays locked up at the club). I have two Rottweilers instead.

Comrades... no, not in the Bolshivist sense... I know some of you are curious as how things will go now... a bunch of photos to give you an idea what the rivets look like immediately after sanding the rivets. But the story of the rivets doesn't end here. I hope to use enamels or oils to make them fit better into their environment. &*$@^#!!! Another piece of carrier film missed until I hit it with sanding sheet. Embarrassing. Speaking of sanding sheet... The most aggressive you want to use is 4000 grit. Using 6000 or 8000 is even slower. Water with a drop of liquid dish soap to lubricate as you sand. Happy trails!

I have one. But I have heard you can overdo it with them. -

C'mon man. Even Paul Budzik says it's more of a museum piece. -

My Friends... There is perhaps only one moment more gratifying than when your significant other admits: "You were right." And that, my friends is when you lift all of your masks and get absolutely ZERO paint lift. I decided to fix the no-walk strips with masks instead of covering them up with paint. They're not perfectly straight. But they'll have to do. I can change my mind later, if I want. The off-white I chose for the Nat'l markings is too close to late war RLM 76... but I can fix that up with weathering. And I think the dark strip under the exhaust stubs may have extended all of the way down the wing root... So a little more masking to do. Hasta la Vista, Babies!

I Owned one Ford in my entire life. A 1976 Maverick 4-door with a 200CI motor and three on the tree. The most dependable car I ever owned, really. Rust ate the body.

Nice onions! I usually see a brown callout for them. Weird, considering the heat that must be back there... but nothing looks sooty on the bird in pictures.

Is that a Canadian pic, or a Russian pic?

Clear lacquer, something to think about price wise. UPDATE

My experiment with MRP was short lived. Though I do see the need for another bottle of Richthofen's Red for an upcoming project. -
Thank you. Jbert! Thanks Chris. I really enjoy the prospect of what I might do with the weathering. The rivets have caused me to deviate from my normal plan with some uncertainty. AS for rest... my wife can sleep a whole day away... But I am definitely a daylight animal. Naps are hard to come by. Thank you, Rob. This is one build I had hoped to take to our annual show next August. And competition is stiff, since the little 109 will have to share the same table with modern jets. Because the seat belts are aftermarket, it will have to compete with planes slathered with brass and resin. And even if it weren't going to compete, I feel driven to make it the best build I can.

That looks great, Rob. Certainly worth the effort given the large face of the cowling. I wasn't complaining about engines... I was just noting that many others were showing you theirs, and I had to sort out which was which.
