  1. Yes. The thicker lacquers like Tamiya and Mr. Color are perfect for small parts. MRP comes pre-thinned for airbrushing.
  2. Pretty cool Mark. My son just told me this morning he got his Ft. Cavazos assignment (formally known as Ft. Hood) in Texas. He’s in Captains Career school right now, but he’s going to be in charge of Patriot Missile units this fall.
  3. Saw these mentioned on Hyperscale the other day. Guys that have the God Hand flush cutters were saying they’re the same. But they were only $16 on Amazon.
  4. Got a bit of color finally going on! yea, gray and white scheme had an OD front windscreen frame.
  5. Those Honda pumps are funny. We did a timing belt job on our old Odyssey many years back. A week later, the pump started acting just like you described. I asked the service manager if it could have been related to them working on it. (LOL, like they would admit they screwed up) But as he told me, they go bad like someone flipped a switch.
  6. Fingers crossed it’s either a pump or lines. Those racks aren’t cheap.
  7. I may or may not have “fallen asleep” At a Metallica concert back in the day. So far back they were the pre band for Iron Maiden. Hey, it was a long road trip and there was lots of “PJ” being served up in the back seat.
  8. Oh man, tough call for me since both are beautiful builds! I would have to do both! You know, that “do both” gets me in a lot of trouble with multiple kits in the stash. 😱
  9. Yea, it’s a pretty detailed kit. Lots of 3D high res printed parts, PE and about a half dozen clear resin parts. Call me nuts, but I might light this one somehow. After opening it up and inspecting, I can now justify the $180 price tag.
  10. You must be talking about the old black and whites? Man, watching those now is hysterical. Flash’s rocket ship hanging by strings with a sparkler lit in the engine out back. If you have time, go check out the 1980 version. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080745/ Now I know when I start to build this I’m gonna have to watch it over and over like I did with “Final Countdown” when I built the F-14.
  11. Queen killed it with that movie!
  12. Here’s a “What in the hell did I just do?” moment. Been wanting this kit ever since it was announced. I finally pulled the trigger over the weekend. Yea, Flash Gordon was one of my favorites cheesy movies back in the day. Couldn’t help myself. Like the resin Cutlass isn’t kicking my butt big time already, I buy another resin kit that’s covered in PE. Again, it was meant to be since the wife is at work for delivery! Now I need to locate a Tamiya F-16 stand. This thing comes without any stand.
  13. Had a friend years ago that had that same Galaxy with a factory 428 Cobra Jet and a top loader 4 speed. Now that was a rare find.
  14. Sweet! Thinking about one for my ‘15 when the U joints and center bearing starts to go.
  15. Yea, I guess you’re right. Eat the Trumpeter and you would be hungry again an hour later.
  16. Okay, what a PITA it has been to fit the LEX’s. The inner on the left wing was too long by 1/8” and had to cut it down, angles all wrong and had to correct that. Built the stand offs and filed down each one for an even gap on the back side. Time for primer now!
  17. Depends on the condiments. An old Revell would probably be a little stale though. I’ll take a fresh Trumpeter any day of the week. Toasted lightly.
  18. I’d eat that! Of course it’s a short list of stuff I wouldn’t eat.
  19. Now I’m dealing with issues associated with a resin kit. Ugh…. Tiny parts on larger parts broken and missing due to time, shipping and just very fragile parts. Tiny and very thin “filler plates” on the bottom of the LEX’s. I’m replacing them with .010 Evergreen stock and CA glue. And doing some reading, the slats or LEX’s are supposed to be slightly raised on the back side, not sitting flush with the top of the wing. I built “risers” on top of the LEX mechanisms to hold them up. I still need to contour the right side.
  20. Sweet! Back when I was a kid Dad brought home a brand new Honda Monkey all disassembled in his duffle bags on a C-141 while he was away TDY in Japan. It was a 1970 or 1971 model. The boomer in me almost made me go buy one of the new 125cc Monkeys they released a few years back. The threat of a divorce from the wife kept me from doing it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The next year he got us the Trail 70. Id love to find a 1/6 kit of the 1971 Monkey. Here’s a screen shot of one that was on Pawn Stars exactly like mine was.
  21. Gotta watch my girly figure. 😘
  22. I mix it up sometimes. Right now I’m on a canned chili and mustard. I usually add chopped onions, but was just too lazy today to chop one up. Last week it was sweet relish and mustard. 99% of the time, no ketchup. Every once in a while I do ketchup only or mustard too. One thing I don’t care for is cheese on a dog. But I need to try chili and cheese. Love kraut dogs too. Even slaw is a good change up.
