    I used Fruil metal tracks on one, ModelKasten on another and AFV Club's plastic tracks on a couple more. They all have pros and cons. Modelkasten are the hardest to put together as each link is 8 parts (9 if you're using the duck bills). Be ready for a padded room by the time you're done.

    Wheels are painted and attached. Followed by the remaining visors. And the roof hatch. I used some decals from Bison for the markings. They're supposed to be a 1st Armoured division (?, will have to double check). Next up will be a clear coat and some weathering and she'll be done.

    I got the lower hull assembly started. It comes flat pack and there's the option for working suspension. I'm skipping that bit and keeping it simple. The underside is fully detailed as well. Here's a size comparison with my Dingo. Last bit for tonight, I've started on the cleanup of the road wheels.

    Ohh, I've got the SAS Jeep too. The biggest letdown is the lack of a crew.

    Ernie, I think you need to get a Scammell: There's a wrecker version too. I'm going to give it a shot after the Jagdpanther. As for the M10, I built one years ago. It's a pretty good kit. Carl

    Ok, here's my entry into the GB. I'm almost done the Dingo so will diving right into this Here's the scheme I'm going for. Best part is there's no OVM tools. I hate doing all those little clasps.

    Ok, the fenders are now on. I then added the lights and started on the armoured viewports.

    I think that was so the driver's feet could fit between the front wheels. Maybe that's where Lamborghini got the idea to offset the pedals in the Countach.

    Guilty as charged! But I think it's more like your Staghound would eat my Dingo. Here's a size comparison of the two. And yes, they're both 1/35.

    Thanks Jeff! There's definitely a lot of parts in the box for something so small. But so far it's all fit fit together so I can't really complain.

    When I think of a Dingo, I think of Mad Max's dog from Road Warrior.

    Thanks Martin! There's a silly amount of detail crammed into the kit. And there isn't even an engine.

    The Miniart instructions don't have any colour recommendations for the interior so I used ones from the Tamiya 1/48 kit. Basically everything is green with leather seats . I used Ammo acrylic SCC1A for the interior followed by a dry brushing with Tamiya weathering pastels. All closed up. With that done, I attached it to the chassis. And that's it for the moment. I'm enjoying the build much more this time around. Carl

    Here's the cab under assembly. There's a crazy number of parts in here. The driver's seat is 7 parts alone. Being an open topped vehicle, most of it will be visible. Next up was the suspension and drivetrain. Again, a silly number of parts. This is where I gave up on my first try. This time I pulled it off I think.

    Ok, I couldn't wait for the D-Day GB to start and got a bit ahead of myself. This is the Miniart Dingo scout car. I tried to build one a few years ago and have up after seeing the number of parts involved in the suspension. That first try got binned but I still had a second one in the stash. So I figured I'd try again.

    I wouldn't call it cheating More like common sense to me. I learned the hard way on my B-25. You can't see half of what I did on the fuselage interior once it got closed up. Carl
