Thanks Rob! He didn't eat the Sherman, just a love bite. Thanks Gaz! The box is supposed to be the wooden jack box but the wood effect is a bit too orange. I might try to tone it down. I didn't think about annealing the wire until after I had glued on the ends like you did. Maybe next time.

Asuka/Tasca Sherman III

I got the bogies assembled over the weekend. I used the fixed plastic spacers instead of the foam ones as the rubber ones let the bogies at the end curl up with too much track tension. Once dry, I glued them to the lower hull. -

Rob, I'm still learning to like olives so my martinis tend to be neat. Thanks Phil! I like having the mix of road wheels on my Shermans and it's been something I've done on most of them. -
I finally painted and added the tools to the Jagdpanther. I couldn't get the tow cables to work for me. They're wire and I couldn't get them to fit suitably so I left them off for now. I gave the model a coat of weathering powders and with that, I'm calling it finished.

Thanks Mike!

Thanks Martin! I always wanted to build the Dragon one when it first came out but never got around to getting one. Then the Meng kit came out and I decided to try it instead. Thanks Harv!

Eduard/Hasegawa P-40N on the bench

So very nice John. I'd have a hard time doing any weathering to it too. -
Indeed it is.

My last one was last year. The Tamiya kit with a slat wing conversion. Here's the one before that:

Maybe we can convince Hornby they need to downscale for us. Since Airfix won't ever do 1/32 aircraft, they could use it to launch a new brand ....
-
Let me try, emphasis on "try", to finish some of the other kits on my bench first and you have a deal.

That's great news! Thanks for sharing. KASL is coming out with the counterweight used on the F-5F as well. Carl

I'll be along for the ride. Can't have too many F-4s. If it's any consolation Harv, I started my F-4G conversion about that long ago and I think you're further along than I am. Carl

It's technically my bench but definitely my son's model: Edward is using my Eclipse to paint his dino model with Model Air paint. He has fewer runs in it than I sometimes get. -

Thanks Phil, I don't think I could be without a dog or cat in our house. As for fur stuck in everything, I'm still it sure how I don't have more of it stuck in my paint jobs. -
That's in my stash. At least it's the right scale...

I like this one as they can be kids watching the troops go by. -

That's one way to describe a Calico cat. Another is to say they're nuts When I was talking to our vet about our cat and how she behaves, the vet said: "Well, she's a Calico...." And that was it. Here's my two bench companions in a moment of solitude. -

You'll end up at best like this: Or learning to work with one in your lap. Who needs a carpet monster now? -
With two boys in elementary school, it sadly hits a bit too close to home.

Hors d'oeuvres anyone? With a coat of rubber black.
