  1. Mine was the first release so I was fortunate to have those in my kit.
  2. The new bench setup rally looks great Ernie.
  3. This is one of the conversations my wife and I have every so often and it seems more frequently recently. She's thinking of moving to Barrie which is a small city about 85km from where we are now. The idea is we'd be closer to ski hills (not mountains, since this is Ontario) in the winter and mountain bike trails in the summer. Plus we could get a bigger house for way less than what our current place is worth thereby shrinking the mortgage. But she'd be commuting to work downtown that 85km which is the big tradeoff. Me? I'm stuck home watching the boys so I wouldn't be too impacted. If anything, it means more bench time. So we keep talking... Carl
  4. So much great info in this thread about postwar Canadian Lancasters. Thanks for sharing everyone! Carl
  5. Always though to was faired in smoothly with the wing. Nice correction there Martin. Carl
  6. Must resist the urge to break mine out.... ...bench would collapse under the weight of all that plastic at the same time.
  7. That's not a bad idea except she still had her claws. Which means there would be asany scratch marks as there would be sanded areas. Maybe I could get her to do the re-engraving of panel lines?
  8. At least you got something. I'm still waiting on a package from Paul Fisher. He sent it out before the big fire but right at the start of our postal strike.
  9. For you or the Mustang?
  10. Ahhh, my bench is back to normal. Complete chaos has returned! There's a Kingfisher under there somewhere.
  11. Yup, been there. It's a hobby. We're supposed to be having fun. Anything else is work
  12. Here's as far as I've gotten for today. The inside of the rear fuselage is now silver. I'm going to add a bit of the inner details as they may be visible through the window in the top of the fuselage. I also painted the nacelles RLM02 in the area near the MLG gear bays for the same reason.
  13. Next up, I started on the rear fuselage. The parts need some careful cleanup as there are moulded separation lines along the edges of many parts. Once cleaned up, they go together nicely though. While that was drying, I assembled the wing spar and upper wing and nacelles.
  14. With so many parts Like my cat has?
  15. I'm really jumping around on this build so don't know if it'll be a good one to follow. Anyways, I started with one of the engines. The pistons and con rods are moulded into the engines. But you'll never see them again once they're together.
  16. My bench was looking a bit too sparse with just the Kingfisher on it so I gave into the impulse to start on this kit. I've had it in the stash since it first came out so it was about time. Some of the AM for this build. As seems the current situation, our cat couldn't stay away. I just need to keep her from huffing the glue or she'll never leave. Carl
  17. I believe that the Profimodeler PBJ set may have the radar dome in it. Ernie has the set so should be able to confirm if it doesn't doesn't. Carl
  18. Well, as the saying goes: idle hands makes one glue plastic bits together.... Now I know what it's like when my sister's dog sees a squirrel.
  19. It still looks good though. Sometimes the simple approach is the bestest. Carl
  20. Ernie, is that the same crew working on FM104? Carl
  21. Yup, it kept staring at me and calling out. I really didn't either Martin. I was almost going to start another 110 but kept hearing a hooting sound.
  22. Your woodwork is truly stunning.
  23. Alright! Time to pull up a chair and watch the fun begin. There's a shop around the corner from me that does some great vintage aviation logo'd clothing including this one: Needless to say, I think I may have to get you one so you're suitably dressed for this build. Carl
  24. Thanks guys! The paint job was something new for me and now that I know I can get a fine squiggle done, it means I can finally look at some night fighter camo schemes... Carl
