Definitely, I was using a glorified electric toothbrush for sanding the intakes on the F-15 when I decided to bite the bullet and get one. That's great to know. I'm looking forward to using it.

Magic Factory F4U-2 RFI

Looks great. Up to the same caliber of build quality as the bigger Corsairs you've done. -
Nice to see it cross the finish line.

An oldie but a goodie (I hope). For the price, it was hard to pass up. And something to help with sanding on the F-15J build.

Yup. It's been a long time since I've seen a car on fire on the side of the road. Kia and Hyundai had a huge recall over engine fire concerns. Guess they missed this one.

What is on your bench right now ? Share a picture :)

Who doesn't love the DS. Such a gorgeous looking car. -
No pics but drying to work this morning there was a Kia Rondo on the shoulder of the highway. Some smoke was coming out from under the hood as I passed. Looking in the rearview mirror, the car went up in flames. Thankfully the occupants were out and a tow truck was behind it already when it happened

Any thoughts on the ICM 1/48 B-26 Marauder? Is it worth $100?
BlrwestSiR replied to CANicoll's topic in Modelling Discussion
I'd be up for one. The Marauder was always a sleek looking bomber to me. Hopefully we'll see some AM decals come out for it. -
Yikes! When it rains, it pours. You made me double check if our Honda Element has a chain or belt as we're at 233,000 kms. It's a chain so a bit less worrying. Here's hoping the truck starts okay.

Here's the two I've done so far. I still have one more in the stash.

Jagdpanther are always a great one to build. My favourite variant of the Panther family.

An assembly line process could work, especially if there's a lot of repetition in the paint and assembly steps. I've done it before when I did 4 Spitfires at the same time. The Revell F-4 kits are straightforward enough too. No engines to deal with and the fit is generally decent. The question becomes do you have enough bench space?

If you have a paint shop near you, see if they carry Blue Dolphin tape. It's the same as Tamiya tape but is much cheaper. https://www.dolphinsundries.com/product/washi-tape/ I got it at the local Benjamin Moore shop.

That's good to know. I have a couple of those at least. Saves me from buying another "paint stand". -

Jeroen, how do you find the various aircraft parts that you incorporate into your build? -
Tamiya Mosquito FB Mk VI 60326 - 1/32
BlrwestSiR replied to Bomber_County's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Looks good there Phil. Nice to see it cross the line. The big reason I found mine to be a Mojo killer was building it at the same time as the HK Mossie. -
They certainly would. There's even AM decals and resin available for them so it can feel like a real GB.

Thanks Paul! Those Hasegawa Egg Girls are very nicely done figures. I have one of their JASDF F-15J egg plane kits around somewhere. Might need to dig it out and add it to the build.

So, not quite Tamiya build quality. Glad you took the short break and have come back to it.
