And we're off! First thing was to sand/remove the surface detail in preparation for the Red Fox 3D panels. Then I started gluing the cockpit panels together. The fit is not perfect. Lots of dry fitting was needed to get it together. It's definitely a different way to build a cockpit.

I took a quick look through the couple books I have. Most show the wing leading edges with badly chipped and weathered paint. Very weathered paint paint overall. You can see it when they remove the cheek guns and the fresh paint underneath is so much darker. Here are pics of the waist gun position. The tail gunner position. I found it interesting how the ammo belts twisted so much before feeding into the guns. That was a pain to model.

Ok, I'm in with something unexpected but from the stash. Box contents: Just kidding, The AM in the mix.

Peter, it's the same here. For whatever reason reason 1/32 Spitfires dominate in my display case and my stash. I think I've only built a couple in other scales oddly.

This is my second Amusing Hobby build. I did their E100 earlier. They've both been very similar. A bit simplified but everything goes together nicely. The Badger is based on the Conqueror so I imagine that would go together as well as this has.

I think my LHS has some graffiti tag stencils. Could be an option too.

I've got both the Tamiya and the Andy's kits in the stash so there's another possibility.

Martin, that's a great tribute to Dale. He is definitely missed. -

What about a hybrid then? I think one of the Japanese model companies make a Prius.

In that case, I'm entering Jennifer Connelly!!!

Yup they're metal. I think they're white metal or something similar. The kit had indie link tracks but each one had two sprue connections and a pair of ejector pin marks that would need clean up so the Fruil tracks were much easier to deal with. A couple needed the holes cleaned up before I could insert the wire but otherwise it was straightforward.

Rear hull is done. Periscopes for the driver and co-driver(?) in place. Gun breech. Nice and simple as nothing will be seen. Sponsors are in place. This thing looks like a Stug. A giant, super sized Stug.

Might be an idea.
