  1. And we're off! First thing was to sand/remove the surface detail in preparation for the Red Fox 3D panels. Then I started gluing the cockpit panels together. The fit is not perfect. Lots of dry fitting was needed to get it together. It's definitely a different way to build a cockpit.
  2. I took a quick look through the couple books I have. Most show the wing leading edges with badly chipped and weathered paint. Very weathered paint paint overall. You can see it when they remove the cheek guns and the fresh paint underneath is so much darker. Here are pics of the waist gun position. The tail gunner position. I found it interesting how the ammo belts twisted so much before feeding into the guns. That was a pain to model.
  3. Sadly, that's exactly what happened to me. I ended up binning it as I couldn't see myself slogging through and getting it across the finish line. I did send the engines to Harv for his gunship build so part of it is still around.
  4. Ok, I'm in with something unexpected but from the stash. Box contents: Just kidding, The AM in the mix.
  5. I've the F6 kit in the stash. Just had it out today in fact as I'm trying to reorganize the stash. I also have the somewhat maligned Trumpeter 1/32 one too. I'm still waiting for my LHS to sell the Echelon ones they bought in a collection a few years ago and maybe have a go at my first vac build.
  6. If you need any reference pics, I have the big Schiffer book on the B-25.
  7. Do these help? This are from my aborted build. Some of it is scratch built and some came from a Profimodel set.
  8. Peter, it's the same here. For whatever reason reason 1/32 Spitfires dominate in my display case and my stash. I think I've only built a couple in other scales oddly.
  9. I've been working away at the camo. More random panels added of different colours.
  10. This is my second Amusing Hobby build. I did their E100 earlier. They've both been very similar. A bit simplified but everything goes together nicely. The Badger is based on the Conqueror so I imagine that would go together as well as this has.
  11. Peter, I hear ya. The Su-33 counts and I'm barely into that build it's so involved so I'll probably have that moved here. As for the Tomcats, it almost seems perfect timing in having some Reskit goodies just arrive for it.
  12. Still my favourite jet. I have a pair of the D version in the stash. Gotta finish what I have going. At some of it.
  13. I remember when you started this. Glad to see it back. Can't wait to see what else you do with the interior.
  14. Meantime, I've started on the Berlin Brigade camo. Lots of masking so I'm doing it panel by panel.
  15. I think my LHS has some graffiti tag stencils. Could be an option too.
  16. I've got both the Tamiya and the Andy's kits in the stash so there's another possibility.
  17. Martin, that's a great tribute to Dale. He is definitely missed.
  18. I could be up for it with this one: Or
  19. What about a hybrid then? I think one of the Japanese model companies make a Prius.
  20. In that case, I'm entering Jennifer Connelly!!!
  21. Yup they're metal. I think they're white metal or something similar. The kit had indie link tracks but each one had two sprue connections and a pair of ejector pin marks that would need clean up so the Fruil tracks were much easier to deal with. A couple needed the holes cleaned up before I could insert the wire but otherwise it was straightforward.
  22. A giant, super sized NATO green Stug: Or maybe a JSU-152 in that shade?
  23. Rear hull is done. Periscopes for the driver and co-driver(?) in place. Gun breech. Nice and simple as nothing will be seen. Sponsors are in place. This thing looks like a Stug. A giant, super sized Stug.
