  1. Ok, just messing around at the moment. I really want to finish the Eagle first.
  2. I had a couple of these around. I'll see if I can find one.
  3. My aunt's husband who was Dutch worked for Snap-On Tools in their Hong Kong office. When he told his manager his name was Constantin, his manager looked at him and said that was too difficult and said he was Tim from then on. So that's what we knew him as, Uncle Tim.
  4. Tiny bit of progress. The ejection seats are now painted. Need to add the belts.
  5. I'm not in bed yet! Trying to get the boys in bed and failing miserably at it though. As for an N, it's an updated B so thin wing is the big difference. Shorter burner cans too.
  6. Between your build and Martin asking me about short nose F-4s, I'm getting the urge to start one right now nevermind all the stuff on my bench!!!
  7. Looks good though so the hard work meant something.
  8. I'll try to make sure I have some on hand in case either of you ever visit.
  9. Thanks Rob! It does help to pay attention from time to time. Best for that was when a friend and I were changing the timing belt and water pump on my Honda Beat. You have to loosen the flywheel but try as we might, we couldn't get the nut off. After a couple hours we called it a night. My buddy then says it's too bad we didn't have a compressor for a pneumatic impact gun. I then pointed to the corner of my garage and said "like that one there?". Next morning it didn't even take 10 seconds to get it off with the impact gun.
  10. Nice start on the stenciling Chris. The Sparrows look very nice too. If you're mounting them on the belly, you need only three of them as the ECM pod goes in one of the forward ones.
  11. Great work on the chain and front wheel. A classic 3 cross layout from the looks of it. Like Hubert said, they go together like the real ones. In fact, the front wheel reminded me of building wheels for my mountain bikes. I learned to do that and built a few sets over the years. At least you don't have to worry about even tension and trueness.
  12. I can't see any on the painting diagrams so I'm good to go. Mind you, the painting diagram is maybe 1.5" long but that's my story and I'm sticking with it. Plus there aren't any visible in the anime so it must canon as the Star Wars fans would say.
  13. Nice! I keep putting this in my cart and then taking it out so I'll be following along for sure. The last A-10 I built was the LS 1/144 kit way back in the early '80s.
  14. If I'm grabbing a hot dog from a cart, my go-to is: - ketchup - hot mustard - relish - mayo - onions - sauerkraut A proper messy, 2 napkin affair.
  15. Just mustard on the hot dog or do you put other condiments too?
  16. When I saw USS Pharris, I thought of the Tom Clancy book Red Storm Rising which I read in high school. Still have a copy of this around here somewhere. Meantime, all the tiny PE would make me claw my eyes out. I have a hard enough time with the 1/32 stuff.
  17. You did a great job on the masks. Some folks don't like vinyl masks but I find they can be very forgiving with a bit of extra care/attention. Cutting up the waste material and using that to patch in the gaps is something I've done as well.
  18. Just think, in our misspent youth we had heat guns and scrapers in hand trying to get rid of all the sound deadening and save some weight on our rides. Now we're putting it in to quieten down the cars. Full circle.
  19. Phil, if you want to do something other than a line jet, I have these decals that I most likely will never use: The Tiger Meet one I managed to get blown up to 1/32 and had custom masks made for. The rest, I guess I bought because they looked nice. If any of them strike your fancy, let me know and I can drop them in the mail for you. The one nice thing is they're all the standard camo scheme underneath.
  20. Tell me about it.
