  1. It would be great to be pleasantly surprised with the kit, especially since it's from a new company. That would be a great way to make a huge splash.
  2. Hopefully in the next few days there will more pics posted as there's supposed to be a sample at the IPMS Nats show. Carl
  3. Assembly is all done. Just some paint touch-ups and decals.
  4. That's going to be an amazing display. Carl
  5. Looks fantastic Martin. Keep going. After you take a quick break of course.
  6. Thanks everyone!
  7. Go Martin, Go.....tha! Sorry, I had to. Amazing work so far. At this rate, you'll be done before I can think what I need to do next on mine. Carl
  8. Homemade carrot cake by my wife Sue. Not only very tasty but in the correct proportions of cake to icing, i.e. 50/50. And not just icing, but cream cheese icing. Mmmmmm. Carl
  9. Thank you Martin and Dennis!
  10. With the tracks on the Magach done, it's given me impetus to continue working on the tank.
  11. Great idea on the sprue jig to hold the model.
  12. I picked up a set of Magach 6B tracks made by San Xin. They're cast zinc and come with pre-cut brass wires to assemble them. Pretty much no clean up needed. No flash or ejector pins marks, no drilling out the linkage holes. Assembly of both track runs was probably less than 40 minutes. They just went together so easily. Here they are installed on the Magach. I should probably paint or weather them a bit. They look almost chromed.
  13. Awesome! Here's to many fun adventures together in the new ride. Carl
  14. I was edited my post when you replied. Yes, they found my stash.
  15. Watch out those pesky model building elves don't get into the stash. That could be quite the pain to sort out if they did. I had a small infestation of them and ended up with a WiP pile that's proving a challenge to get through:
  16. That would good to see. I forgot to do that when I had both kits in my stash. I know Martin has done comparisons between the two kit nose sections already but nice to see how the rest of the kits compare.
  17. Quite the rabbit hole of stuff there. Thanks for sharing the link. I'm eyeing some of the Lancia Delta bits.
  18. Recreate the asteroid field chase from The Empire Stories Back?
  19. Definitely some nice details there. Is the styrene strip temporary? I guess it's holding up the linkage rod until the glue sets? Carl
  20. Wow, truly stunning work, especially the NMF. The patina looks perfect. Carl
  21. Pip's (potentially) new chew toys.
  22. That reminds me of a 3/4 scale C-130.
  23. They finally released Macross: Do You Remember Love on BluRay. I ordered a copy from Japan as it's not getting a North American release as the rights are still a bit of a hot mess here. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to pop this into the PlayStation to play it only to find out the PlayStation has died....
