  1. A challenging build for certain guys loosing LG parts L/R issues with the paint and such but maybe the good Lord was steering me?I think I learned some new things along the way and getting more comfortable with other techniques.I have appreciated all the likes and comments in the build thread it helped to keep focused. Now for some pics ....last pic yes I almost forgot the tube.
  2. I had one(plastic) with a can of Propel boy did those go fast(cans) and expensive I was like 12/13
  3. That's some Nice paint and execution Martin but.....I searched all over the intranet and I could not find a Lockheed YB-555?? you little devil
  4. I still need to glue the rockets in,fix two rockets back to the hanger and weather the hanger with the rear wheel.I say I have maybe another hour or two.
  5. Thanks Mike I do to except the R/side something in the back of the mind though...maybe. I appreciate that Chris Florrys kinda blends things well. Thanks for the Kudos Hubert! I need to figure it out Rob maybe I need to wear gloves?I honestly think it may go to a bit more paint and a longer dry time? I have had that same comment over at MSW just perfection needed from here on out Thank You!
  6. Well I am hot/cold on this one some parts I like some I hate the r/side being a hate on the fuse maybe just not enough silver it's so temperamental.I like how the wash just kinda blended things getting somewhat better on the landing gear.I can see another one of these in the future but the dart 106 I have going is going to get more layers of silver and a longer dry time I get impatient. Baby steps.
  7. That's it Guy you just pound it out to quick never saw it great looking rendition!I wish I could get that comfortable with weathering getting close with the Tempest.
  8. Good to hear Peter
  9. Easier and quicker Jeroen.
  10. Jeroen looking good but you have a few ...irons in the fire ATTM
  11. Watched that the other night Ralph one of my favorite shows on YT.My wife said a couple weeks ago "all you watch is war and that tank show" I go "TV has nothing for me" I am not interested in being programed any longer.
  12. Ralph that looks to be 3/4X bigger than the HT I visit in Mobile with a lot more plastic.I am not kidding and it probably happens with many of us but I have more kits in my collection than they have on 16' of shelving or equal just talking military.
  13. yeah keep it up Really Rob I have broom in that room sweep the floor probably twice a week it blows my mind how it happens. The rockets have their decals applied off now to cut some brass for the rear of the rockets to handle the wiring they look pretty Nice
  14. Now Now Peter!! We all know the drill the faster you clear that list another is created fast=wrong pace it our bodies can only take so much.
  15. Honestly Paul if I would of just chucked it up to the landing gear gremlin quickly(20mins) I would of almost been done with the replacement confidence in my ability to make the piece was not there.I looked at it and my mind started turning going yeah I can make that and no one except me will know.I am getting better at this and other things in my modeling have been changing in the last year or two in my abilities not like Rob he's aggressive me baby steps.
  16. Not at all John the pattern here just looks smaller blends better and more abstract if that makes sense no two mottles look the same
  17. Well if that little gremlin struck again she's not going to be ready for the show this W/E.I was building the tailwheel assembly a piece flipped out the fingers hit the chest and went under the desk on a hardwood floor and that's all it wrote. That little POS grabbed it up and off to his hole it went. The first pick is the factory the white part is what I had to make nothing hard just 30/45 more minutes even got the bolt heads with the punch. The next pic is the rockets and to get a decent crisp lines.I first glued a bigger diameter to my plate and beveled the inside of the tube to cover the light grey all the rockets had been painted in and then painted the green. The next step was to tape off the area below the white/grey for the bottom of the red stripe and got a smaller diameter tube beveled and glued it to the platform and sprayed the red.I think if will work still got some more brush painting but the jig worked.
  18. Rub it in the water the waves let's see what happens next here you peeking in Rob not much into most SciFi.
  19. I think that's one of your better mottling jobs John looks right.
  20. I see some more styrene in your future.I am sure you will get there John
  21. I like that beat up look their Guy look's legit.
  22. That is looking exquisite Hubert really liking it a lot.Golf...I use to play quite a bit back in the 90's my older brother would always win except one day my best round I am thinking 87.I usually was like 95/105 terrible but it was fun then the green fees started going up.I took up gun collecting they do not go down in value.Keep modeling Sir the work is fantastic.
  23. I usually do PP myself Peter they are great in resolving issues like this but the interest rate sucks right now my credit union is really low.I have to add an extra layer of scrutiny ordering from outside my normal vendors research.
  24. Ralph looking at the pliers by the chassis I am guessing 8/10" long for the 1/35 is about 6" overall after being built?
  25. I am beginning to think I have some gremlins in the shop that likes gear bay doors this is the second one in about 4/5 months now and I have hardwood floors?Just a couple more effects and she's ready for paint by the way it is riveted .The inside of the door the riveting sucks outside looks pretty good. The last pic just shows they area equal stacked on top of each other.
