I don't if this has been brought up before but avoid them at all cost ordered a Very Fire 1/350 USS Wisconsin "Whisky" acknowledge the order on 9/25/24.I have emailed twice for an ETA no response and 23 days later still no tracking #.I am currently looking to see if my Keesler Federal Credit Union can reverse the charges? The BBB reviews of the company are terrible.....shysters https://www.bbb.org/us/pa/mayfield/profile/wholesale-hobby-supplies/internet-hobbies-0241-235973355

I can understand that Paul I just do not like putting out 150/250 for plane kit in most case unless it's a twin engine and then HK for the price.I have a son in Japan I should get him to send some one at a time via the post office on base. Thanks Chris,I am still not convinced she was silver doped?I see to many panels that are just to bright like the access panel to the copit on both sides is a different tone/shine and if it was painted would not the screw heads be painted?(I know access means played with)more questions than answers that could only be answered by the pilot or crewchief.. -

well i have had discussion with 3 more people about the odds of this AC being NM and the answer has been "NO".The orders were to paint them silver dope which could be shiny in the right light and that maintenance and rags would change the color of panels...so I digress.I am still SMH going panels not in sunlight appear brighter than those in sunlight. Some pics.SN213 is a Mk V that just got a coat of paint look how uniform but then again no flight time yet. -

The major decals are in place next are the couple handfuls of stencils. The only stencil needing Walthers was emblem on the chin scoop it made it conform. The Cartograf are settling down real Nice weras the rivets are coming through. The decals look to new for the aircraft but I think I have the solution to the problem. That pit sure looks Nice!- 61 replies

I have a healthy stock probably 15/20 bottles I have some others not tried them yet do not even remember the brands ATTM.I am really starting to go full lacquer on my paints they lay smooth, dry to the touch fast and coverage is good. The MM paints are slowly drying up literally had to toss a bottle yesterday. -

Thanks Hubert appreciate the complement. I did not want to go to bright on this AC Rob the pic while some reflectivity was not high ...oxidized might be the right word. -

I use Alclad II there gloss black when I spray from a distance 8/10" lays down like a semi-gloss which works for a flatter finish worn.I have to change guns and go to a higher flow for a really glossy finish with the black.I am using MM,Mr.Hobby and Tamiya the last two in lacquers Guy. -

I am getting close to some clear and decals fellas and have changed some of the paint.I have two pics a member of another forum let me look at of this particular AC in flight by the commander wish I could share them but very telling info.I got the impression member does something in the modeling area making/designing decals for a larger firm?Hence he studies pics a lot. 1) the spinner was not yellow it was the same color as the tail.Member was thinking sky for the backing plate,I was thinking yellow and the instructions said silver could very well be silver. This may of occurred because the commanders plane the grey spinner? 2) Member was not 100% convinced the AC was NM but I could see metal panels of different color were they just replacements? I depicted them for what I could see and know. The pics were of the L/side of the AC. 3)The grey down the bottom of the plane from wing root to tail was definitely there something not represented in the SH instructions. 4) The pics also showed some paint around the gun ports something again SH makes no mention I am thinking red but waiting on a response. 5) It's been mention that the leading edge of the wings may of been yellow waiting on response to that question also I can't see them. 6)The pic showed rocket racks empty she getting rockets 7)I think their was a good possibility #135 may of been NM it was reflective to a degree looked like an AC that was weathered AL maybe.I had a pic of SN213 which was a known NM AC with the same grey spinner and piece around the forward canopy interesting both AC neither had exhaust stains while the two other pics of silver doped AC did? -
Long is an understatement Scott but looking good Sir!
