  1. I'll be waiting Gus the reveal and the clear parts is the best part.
  2. This will be out of box except for the Kits World IP enhancements(last set I buy no instructions/placement).The build should really be rather quick unless I get that that ink..il ing to wier the en..gines Ok maybe a little more than OOB no promises.
  3. I found this today Guy about 5 miles from the house U-166 but was U-571 in the movie @45' I guess 1/4 scale? Attached to a trailer on the front lawn of the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum is a 45-foot-long replica of the U-166, the only Nazi submarine sunk in the Gulf of Mexico during World War II https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/71927
  4. it's one of those things of late Peter I have really been enjoying totally off the beaten path.

  6. I go sandbox
  7. Guy I just started on my B-25 last night is it 7/31 or 8/31 the last day?
  8. It's Alive!!! I now frame it out in padauk 1/2"WX1/16'T I will start on the top and ends with the end being 3/8"W and the top making the last 1/8"
  9. Thanks Peter finally one to fell good about.I started a little 1/72 DH89 all going good for the most part and go looking further down the road and missing a tailplane That is the forth kit in a row wearas I am beating walls to get something done I bought 2nd hand the kit for little so I......Trash canned it.
  10. Some proper pics of the finished A/C guys. The build was pretty straight forward being a Tamy kit and all I did add an AM Pit don't ask me who but it was way better than the kit.I managed to lose a gear leg cover and had to make a new one from scratch.
  11. My reaction also Mike just Fantastic!!
  12. I thought the same Martin with Naval subjects a Nice display makes all the difference.
  13. That's looking pretty sweet Brad!!
  14. I have started on the plexiglas case measures 50"+X7 1/4"X14" something I have been shying away from has actually been easy.I have about an 1 1/4 hours cutting and gluing the four sides together I will let this sit over night and do the top tomorrow.I have seen a money making opportunity methinks fellas??I have seen people pay serious money for those 1/2 the size of this without exotic wood underneath!
  15. looking great as usual Peter got to wonder though what is the process on the screw heads?
  16. Me and John had some correspondence some time back exchanging addi's/parts but no phone numbers strangely that corr. and others are gone..
  17. calling this one done she came out half-way decent and you are hard pressed to tell which door is the fabricated one.She is in the rack thought the legs had harden enough but not quite yet..
  18. I decided not to wait the replacement should work well enough Now if nothing gets thrown at me maybe a decent build for a change.
  19. Not a bad looking paint job but another mojo builder has thrown a monkey wrench into the hat! I lost a lower gear leg door why why why this is like 3 builds in a row with hang-ups it's getting frustrating I may make one in the next week or so.
  20. Well it was the easiest choice Scott when you think about it unlike the G-43,Fn-49's or the unfired Enfield those are hard to track down M1 Garand will they are all over.I P/U my truck in 2017 with 82K on the dash I just like that ole truck smaller than the 2014 and more power.
  21. It happens to me at times seems to be the consistency of the paint with lacquers go thinner 15/17 psi.I Just did some acrylic Tamy white and went to thin with Mr.Level thinner and got a touch of spittle thinking acrylic is pretty thin out the bottle already? I use a Badger Renegade fine tip.
  22. I can tell you what's not on the desk anymore an Eduard P-51 and not for Eduard's fault mine at painting seems to be an issue of late. The plane came out OK but trust me I wanted to bin it.I now have a Tamy 1/48 D-9 on the desk and again the paint mojo killer strikes I paint the tail band red/yellow ...yep was suppose to be yellow/red and it was Nice effort
  23. I cannot do that maybe the location being 1/3 of a mile from the Gulf of Mexico.I saw this morning like 87/88' at 8AM with a heat index up around 100' you sweat like a pig and everything sticks to ya.I use to wait till like 11AM/12pm to start work on the shop the humidity will drop from 80% to 60% still hot but we get a gulf breeze about 12PM everyday 5/10mph it helps.
  24. That's good I was thinking a child had come along about the same time glad he's doing OK.I P/U the MkVI when SB had it 1/2 price if I am lucky going to be NMF my painting or lets sat attention to details has been off of late.
