I am going to be modeling the airframe of Major Erich Gerlitz #4 on the sheet with the chevrons.The plane depicted there is with the 17 kills on the tail but I found a pic/artist of her with 16 kills with the half sand and half blue(see the blue under exhaust).I was going to do some history of the guy but it is actually very to no info on the net.I did locate a site that listed when/where of his 20 kills.The Quintas should be in by Friday that will be the extent of the AM.

This makes 2/4 that I am about to give away this one to a co-worker who has a grandson he has more or less adopted whom I sure will have her flaming quickly(he's 7).I thought I was smart hand painted all the glass,dipped in future,glued in place,appropriate liquid mask applied(?) and then mask removed.......Yeah!The masking agent is water based went right through the future attached to all the paint and whala 2/3 hours of work was gone.It's 1/72 and it's time to move on.

The kit is pretty good and straight forward and easy the only area of concern was the fitting of the rear tailplane was the only rear area with filler.The mask that they provide are really Nice thin and almost transparent work great they just do not give directions but follows the layout of most mask sets. You should think about the next GB is coming up any scale is available for a GB just has to pertain to the theme.The sandbox is next WWI,WWII and any engagements or even peacetime!

Dave I did Revells rebox not the night fighter but much the same the panels around the engine was the only issue I had .

To be honest guys I have kits like most ya'll for each nation Hase=Bf-109X2, Tamy =Spit MkVII, PCM = 202/205 and I am pretty sure I have a P-40 just what scale?Then you got those tracky things I have built enough ETO over my life have mention several times this board the MTO and PTO have garnered my interest the last few years hence my IJN builds.This cats ready for LFG.....
