  1. The copit is finished it's such a thinker to get it together and all those pins aligned right but happened with some persuasion. The seat came out really Nice meaning paint wise II was able to paint the brass rings for the threads up top very very well and painted the leather sting in yellow chromate it worked.I may try to get a better level shot if the camera will let me.I am not far from closing of the fuselage and off to the wings the fit of the Mk VI seems better than the last Tempest the Mk V
  2. Looks really good from here Hubert esp. the PE.I think your upper cowling looks pretty good just short nothing that shim stock could not fix the height look good.
  3. I met to answer sooner Carl when using the flex line SG attaches very quickly if fresh. The idea is to not pull it to taught(I Did old glue) on the vertical let dry real well.I then pull the left over of the vertical pretty taught and clip with some thin tiny scissors it leaves no nub.I do the same on ship rigging also.
  4. In the beginning on mine Chris the color looked to light(flash?) but I knew the Florrys and pastels would darken it up a little. That's the whole thing with weathering for me at least getting to understand it and getting comfortable still have a long road a head of me.
  5. Liking the wash Chris it's subtle and blends in the the pre-shade.
  6. You make it look to easy Guy looking great by the way.
  7. That coming from a fella light years ahead of me in that field means much to me Guy Thanks!
  8. Thanks Dennis The MTO and the PTO Dennis lends itself to more weathering methinks kinda hard to go wrong. The ETO on the other hand better weather and better maintenance held it a bit in check.
  9. Thank You Mike.... I beat you again!!
  10. I appreciate the compliment John
  11. Peter SH must of been listening to the complaints about the instructions much better in this box.
  12. History:Tempest Mk.6 NX135/V No.6 squadron RAF,Deversoir,Egypt,1949.The machine was also seen and photographed at Nicosia base,Cyprus. It is one of only a handful of Tempest to carry a bare metal finish(NMF).One of the pilots who are reported to have flown this machine was F/L Spragg, who on the 7th January 1949 took part in the aerial engagement between Tempest and Spitfires of the RAF and Spitfires of the fledgling IAF.On this day Spragg sat in another Tempest and slightly damaged Ezer Weizmann's Spitfire with his guns.

Thanks Mike dirtying her as I type glossed,Florrys, pastels and just now I semi-gloss her letting it dry right now lacquer Thanks Peter something about the MTO I cannot resist the sand remember my He-111 in the other GB. Thanks Guy she is already out of the keen/clean box. Thanks Carl I am thinking may be one of my better builds of late if I don't muck up the weathering. What weathering I have already done accomplished what I wanted/believed would happen it darken the sand.
