Yes Flory washes ......we've all tried them ...when they are nice they can be very nice ...and when the go wrong they kill NMF and decals very quickly😀 I like dirty birds so have passed off the hit and miss results as heavy petting weathering . Good that you persevered though.....unless I really CBA ... I like trying something new as often as I can . I thinks it's all part of the hobby , even failures teach something .

On another note, Suomi produces some cracking films about their wars with the Russians . Given they were largely a citizen militia fighting on their home turf, the flavour of their films is unique, far less gung ho or "sir yes sir". The also have a lot of vintage armour to use in filming . Fun fact if you ever get over to Normandy - the D-Day experience museum near Caretan has a full size flight simulator based on a C-47 chassis , where you get to "experience" flying into normandy on D-Day. Sounds naff I know, but after 2 mins we found ourselves 100% "in the zone". Look pretty handsome from where I'm sat, great finish to an older kit , and again love the Voodoo, esp in this interesting cammo scheme. 😀 1985 tooling , when 1/48 meant upscaled 1/72 mostly , raised panel lines et all ....and compared to 2022 tooling .....we've come a long long way in under 40 years
