  1. Very nice Tom. Do love that scheme, the logo on the fin always reminds me of the Tiger that Came for Tea.
  2. Have a good one. 🎂
  3. Very neat work with the decals on the missiles Peter. So easy to screw it up when they are so small.
  4. Beautiful faded paint work and stunning photos.
  5. You'll enjoy the conversion Carl. The quality of the fit of the Scaleworx parts is better than the fit of the kit parts.
  6. That was the same figure I saw Phil. If true it makes it an absolute steal.
  7. Looking stunning Peter. Very colourful - the USN didn't do subtle back then did they!
  8. 6.5 inches is still a lot of rain! 😲 That's about 3 months worth for us and Scotland isn't the driest place in the world! Although I do live in the driest part of it.
  9. Great picture Kai. Progress has been slow on the Cheetah due to holidays and my father being taken into hospital. I'll post once I have anything worth showing
  10. Nice win Gaz and lots of nice kits. Seen some nice builds of the E boat. Some nice dioramas too if you want to really push the skillset.....
  11. Glad to hear your safe Peter. Seems to have hit Tennessee and other areas pretty hard.
  12. Lovely finish Kai. I think the matte coat looks just right. I know everyone has different tastes and opinions but personally I prefer a flatter finish on jets like this unless there's clear evidence to the contrary.
  13. Very nice Rob. Very colourful and a nice different subject.
  14. Seems to be based on the 1/35 Takom kit, so good provenance. Price seems very reasonable as well. Just in time for Christmas.....
  15. That's some serious skills there! 😲
  16. Thanks for all the photos chaps. Do like the Hind and the Greek Starfighter. Sod subtlety!
  17. Great work Tom and a great excuse to drink more Doom Bar.
  18. For all 'proper' paint work l use my H&S Infinity but for priming and clear coats l use a cheap Chinese replica l got off evilBay for roughly 20 euros with a .5mm tip. Works like a dream.
  19. Hope you had a good one Carl. Gaz, we have the same 'custom' here in Scotland. It must be the most efficient part of our NHS as it always arrives on the day of your birthday!
  20. Hi Kai, looking great. I had similar doubts about the blue when I built the Tamiya F15C but in the end decided darker was better as the IDF do keep their airframes pretty tidy, so fading too much was unlikely.
  21. Look forward to seeing you start on that Kai. I dithered over the Viggen and left it too late. Think masking that splinter scheme might be the cause of a few cuss words..
  22. Just a little Kai. Got all the undercarriage components and gear doors assembled and primed. Slight cock up with connecting the resin conversion lower main gear parts to the kit upper parts but I think I'll get away with it. Been busy with student MSc projects last couple of weeks and I'll have to mark them this week, then off on holiday, so progress will be a little slow.
  23. I'm with Jerry. I know Trumpy get a lot of hate because of the shape issues, riveting, etc but I've built quite a few (P-47, A-7, Mig-23 etc) and they generally go together well and the plastic is decent. Certainly as good, if not better, as the Airfix Typhoon I recently finished, or the KH F-5. Also, I'm the only one in my house who has any idea what they are meant to look like, so if they're in the display and I'm happy then... It's probably sacrilege but the Tamiya F-15C gave me more bother than any of the Trumpy kits in terms of fit.
  24. Beautiful work Tom. Really looks the part now all the major airframe components are together.
  25. Quick progress update. I've given the upper surfaces a quick gloss coat to seal everything and mitigate against cock ups. Canards and nose are now painted in the soft grey as well. Next step is to gloss properly and then I'll be moving on the the undercarriage, etc.
