Black on and all masking done ready for the white. Masking around the base of the refuelling probe was a complete pain but I've got it about as accurate as I can manage. Going to make sure and burnish all the edges down again before I spray the white as leakage might well be an issue with all the curves involved.

Looks like a piece of modern art Gus, right with the others, great job with all the masking and thanks for reducing the world Kabuki resources, the stuff will be expensive soon.

Cheers Rob

Thanks fellas. The Tamiya flexible tape is probably more useful than the Kabuki for getting the curves but I've certainly used plenty of both! :D

A few touch-ups needed where the masking hasn't been perfect and a couple of slight asymmetries between the sides but I'm pretty happy with how it's come out so far. I'll do the repairs over the next couple of days and hopefully get started on the underside at the weekend.

Wow, with that camo you couldn't disguise the plane in the midst of Studio 54 in the mid 70's, it would have stood out. Great job with this bright bird Gus, love it.

Thanks fellas.

Yes, 'gaudy' might be the word for it Rob, but it certainly stands out.

Glad you like it Hubert as your aversion to camouflage was part of the inspiration for trying this.

Just a quick update, will post better pictures later.

Bottom colours on. A few touch ups required but definite progress. Think I'm going to gloss coat all this before I do the canards and nose just to try and mitigate against cock ups.

That looks stunning Gus!

Great masking job and perfect result!

The big  main gear doors also need 3 colors! You are the masking-champion afterwards!

A definite wow Gus, the only prob with that scheme is, that the other planes in your display shelf will turn invisible.

Cheers Rob
