Absolutely clean build without any flaws! Looking really very good including the Prop!

Did you have to do a lot of rework?

Thank you. :)  Nope, no rework at all. Completely OOB, etc. :)

Looks good John and I agree about leaving out the unnecessary bits. I've done that a few times on my Spitfires.

Carl

Yep, no point in adding them if they won't be seen. Thanks! :)

Since I plan to have the engine covers in place there's no need to do any detailing, etc. there.

Looks very nice John! Good decision to leave the unnecessary parts out.

I‘m not a friend of opening all possible panels. With closed cowls it‘s possible to see the beautiful sleek look of the Spitfire. Like your approach!

Yes I agree I would prefer to see a buttoned up air frame, I can however I do appreciate the skill and time some people put into their opened up builds, but it is not for me.

Cheers

Dennis

Same here Dennis. I did leave the cowlings off and did some detailing on my 1st Mk IX a few years ago. I figure that has it covered. LOL :)

I'm glad to see the cowls close up nicely.  I hate it when they don't.  Looking good!

To be honest Gaz they didn't close up easily this time. Had a fairly high cuss-factor. :)

Time to do some preliminary painting. Next I'll mask off the areas for the invasion stripes and get them laid down.

Looking mighty good John!

The cowl-fit is also tight and looks fine!

Looking forward to seeing the first camo-paint on it!
