It's Xtracolor paint Jeff. Their paints are gloss and lay down nicely. I highly recommend them but they are a bit difficult to get stateside. :)

You are too kind guys! LOL:D

About the only way to get Xtracolor is find someone in England who will purchase it for you and send it. That has been my modus operandi for a good bit.

Remember to get a can of their thinner. It is best for their paint.

That looks really great John! Absolutely flawless work!

Is there a reason why you didn’t paint the wheel wells before? Isn’t an easy job now with the necessary masking!

Thanks!:) Heck no, easy peasy. Just a little masking and hit the wells with paint. :)

Thanks John, never thought of that

One thing Jeff. DO NOT put thinned Xtracolor back in the tinlet or it will gel up after a short while. Learned the hard way! No clue as to why since you would think that wouldn't happen.

John

You’re the master - gorgeous paint work.

I do find it amazing how popular paints for example can be purchased in one country and not in others. Tamiya lacquers is another prime example.

Keep ‘em comin

Hopefully the masks don't take too long to get to you.

Indeed Carl. In the meantime I can apply the roundels on the wings and the fin flash. :) Plus do a little touch up.

Status as of today. All ready for the code masks. :) By the way, if you click on the pictures it comes up a bit sharper, etc.

Looking as sharp as ever John. Didn’t realise the stripes nearly cover a good portion of the wing on a Spit.......will there be any weathering?
