I understand one of the Wildcats had shape issues. Which one was it? I am looking to getting one.

In short : the very early (i.e. first production batches) -4 kits were seriously flawed, and sold mostly on Asian markets. The US importer managed to get retooling done to correct the serious shape errors. So, in theory any US- and European-sold -4 version should be Ok, and among their best.

No issue whatsoever to fear with the -3 versions, whether early or late.

Would have been nice if Trumpeter would go back and re-tool some of their other major kit flaws.  A-7 Corsair’s come to mind as their worst.  Looking at my build using the Zacto correction vs. an out of box kit build is a real eye opener.

I keep reading that the A-10 also has front fuselage issues. Too wide?  Paul Fisher was working on a correction when his world fell apart.

Martin and Hubert

thanks so much for the information and links. Trumpeter surely should be thanked for biting the bullet and correcting the Wildcat issues.

Keep ‘em comin
