'Got a Stug!.....A large, 1/16 Stug by Das Werk !

Yes, it's their StuG III Ausf. G early w/Winterketten in 1/16 (DW 16003).

Well, my stash closet is about full now. Maybe a Gecko 1/16 panzer II and

an early St. Chamond by Takom in the future but that's all for now. You know, not buying many more kits......will be difficult. 😗

I still haven't seen this kit available in Canada yet. The original release has been sold out for a while now too.

Got it from Andy's Hobby Headquarters..... At $ 119.00 USD I think it's a

Good value for a 1/16 kit.

One for Brits I guess  ....I'm not a big fan of Airfix at all , but sadly a huge fan of Ferrets ...nearly bought a real one a few times .

So , flimsy box, plastic is harder than usual grey Indian chewing gum, has the feel of the early 80's Tamiya plastic . Details ore typical Airfix , simplified , a little over heavy ;  compared the Miniart Dingo I built a while ago no real comparison , Miniart wins hands down . Cheap though, only 25 of your British Pounds.

Three colour options covering early mid and late service ( Bronze Green 1961, Batus in the 1980s and UN in Cyprus 1974) Can only be built as a MK2 with the silly turret, you could leave it off , but the interiors are different on the MK1's - three seater / radio fit etc . Maybe they will do one later ?? No figure , again a shame, as cold war Brit figures are thing on the ground. Suspect this is a great weekend build in the making as it's only 187 parts and tiny with it. Decals look ok .

Not only, PW. I was born and risen in West Berlin, so the typical cover art appealed to me. Can't remember the Ferret though, maybe because I lived in the American sector.

Some car related stuff arrived during my vacation.

Belkit's Ford Escort, which fortunately got re-released. I love the bulky body of this small car and the kit is very complete, with RH or LH option, fabric seat belts, PE and Cartograph decals. There is no need for a lot of AM, except when you wish to have an engine.

The Sauber Mercedes C9 is beginning to get a bit hard to find, at least with my possibilities. I found it in Japan and will add some details, when time comes.

Last, a weird decal set for Tamiya's GT3 AMG Mercedes from Hobby Design. FOUR sheets of nicely printed decals, some in several layers. I have another crazy decal set for the same car, so maybe I make a duo build. I opted for the 2016 livery, because the more recent ones need a body transformation kit as well.

How are Belkits Rob? I haven't built one before and am curious to the quality.

There's a 1/12 RS available too. It's 3D printed and €169 but comes with an engine. The guy offers both the rally and race versions.

I have another one in stash Carl, a 2017 Ford Fiesta WRC, but haven't built any of the Belkits. The plastic seems to be of good quality, as are the decals. The kits are very complete with PE and extra night light sets, but I don't like the look of the manuals too much. Time will tell, how they build up. The Ford Escort became rare over the years and right now, Belkits choose to do a re-pop.

Some more speedy additions to m stash, direct from Japan and some decals from a Spanish vendor.

First, a car, I don't like too much, a Fujimi BMW Z4 GT3 from Fujimi:

...but, when I saw these Michel Vailant reminescence decals from LB Productions, the deal was done. VROOAAW :D

IMG_1416.thumb.JPG.19ac9e8963a297fcaed1466041642e0f.JPG

Again not my favorite motorcycle, but the extra decal sheet determined my choice:

Some extras, Tamiya front fork set and Falcon Scale Models 3D-printed chain set.

Spider man is coming, the famous Yamaha in Spidey livery driven by Marco Melandri. The decals are made by Renaissance Model and are printed in a glossy aluminum finish.

So, what's the going rate for a real life Ferret? Thinking it might solve a few parking problems at work.....

I'm a little out of touch but last time I looked they were £8-10K.

I passed on one without an engine about 6 years ago that was £1500 ...which would have been ideal had I had the space at that time , as the plan was to fit a 300tDi and autobox out a Discovery . I met some fellas who had done this conversion before , giving a higher torque , same (ish) rev range so the speed is similar ,  but with quadrouple the MPG. Just didn't have the workshop space at that point.

PS I lusted after a Stalwart for about ten years , but again it's where to put it .

I'd love to build these type of subjects...Rob, you're more than capable of

Doing so....but gloss finishes on autos beyond my capabilities. Again, build

Don't limit yourself Paul. It's not that hard and with some test mules and proper preparation, everything is possible.

That's a lot less than I thought. Don't think it would handle the dual-carriageway drive to work very well though.

It's about the only armour you can drive single handed on UK roads without drama, although cameras are advisable .  A Fez should do 40 ...

Did watch a bloke and his wife reverse their Ferret into a Landrover once and then try legging it . She claimed she didn't notcie, which at 4 tons is probably valid.

40's not too bad, certainly no worse than some of the trucks and farm vehicles around here. It's probably smaller than some of enormous 4x4s used for the school run in Aberdeen! 😄

I just got……

……a positive Covid diagnosis.  😷

was supposed to be on a cruise. Storms canceled flights.  No rental cars.  I would have been patient zero that got the entire ship quarantined.
Someone was telling me to not get on that ship. So here I sit in a parking lot waiting on my Rx to get filled.
