Yeah I know, not another boring Mustang build, but I’ve been putzing away at this for awhile now, scraping, sanding, fitting, and just generally making a mess.

I refuse to let this one linger on the SOD, especially since I have just about every bit of AM needed to finish her off in grand style.

It’s time to show off the masterpiece of one of the true pioneers of accurate 1/32 resin kits.

So... this is a Jerry Rutman maybe?

Yup, I’ve been playing with it off and on for a year.  I finally have the fuselage fitting pretty decent. Not that I really tried hard.

I have his Ta152... the later copy with the resin wings. Don't sell yourself short, if the Mustang is anything like the Ta then there's quite a bit of effort to get it to mate up. It's well detailed, but there's a lot of resin to remove and dry-fitting to be done.

Are there decals available?

Cool project.  thinking of doing the GMF Hs 129 before the Z-m comes out, if I wait I'll never build it!

Well, this is my Service to all my friends in the modeling community.  I am building a resin P-51B and upon the final matte coat, just know that a state of the art, 100% accurate injected kit will hit the market.

Just more fitting of the major parts. Everything actually fits well, very well, considering it’s probably THE kit that started the trend to high scale fidelity 1/32 models.

Canopy is vac of course. Yay!  I love resin. I hate vac.   But this ain’t so bad because we get a bucking board/template for the canopy. Plus a spare canopy in case I bork up the first one. Onward

Looks pretty good right out of the box. I think I can see the canopy framing - is it well defined and just doesn't photgraph well at this point?

Keep 'em comin

Thanks guys. This is a real dust making project. The entire thing is resin, including the AM. Fun and games.   I’ll try to do Jerry’s creation proud.

Hope you have a good respirator or will be doing the major sanding and clean up outside. On all my resin projects or AM sets, that's what I've gone with. Should have been doing this years ago.
