There's a garage up there that does those conversions Carl. They also do some very cool campervan conversions based on VW chassis. Not entirely sure how you're meant to get that down some of the back roads around there though! 😄 3

Knowing how short a Cube is, it makes the new Maverick look like a long bed. There's a company in the US that sells conversion kits to make Mk IV Jettas (Boras I think they're called outside NA) into pickups. Doesn't look too bad when done. Edit: found it! https://www.smythkitcars.com/ 2

GazzaS
Hey fellas... question for you: Does the Chrome melt during a car fire? I'm having a helluva time finding pics of a burned older-vehicle. I looked up the melting point of glass, and it melts a lot easier than chromium. Anyone... if anyone has a good pic, or some info... I'd be grateful.
Martinnfb
chrome is very durable, all depends on the temperature, looses shine for sure
krow113
Depends on the year of vehicle too. Some trim is stainless steel , which would gold or bronze out from heat.

krow113
Big step on the 360 chopper. Getting the rear wheel and its components centered , spaced and sorted. Remember this has never been a bike, it needs to be built and inspected. So; Chain run aligned, drive sprocket and rotor spaced , wheel spacers sorted , brake caliper placed and the entire assy squared and centered in the frame. Torqued to 90 ft. lbs. and it spins very smooth and nice. Unrelenting supervision: Side by side sprocket and rotor spaced enough , with the rotor through the middle of the caliper: 1/2" steel rod confirms sprocket alignment for the chain run. 4
