JohnB Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 As most of you already know I really like Corsairs and Tamiya, in my humble opinion, has released the best kits of the Corsair I think we'll ever see. So here is my 10th build. Mostly OOB except for Barracudacast wheels, cockpit decals, and FineMolds seat belts. Painted with Colourcoats and oversprayed with Alclad clear flat. Decals are a mix of kit decals, Barracudacals and Eagle Edition Decals. I hope you will like the results of my efforts. 10

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted March 2, 2019 Administrators Posted March 2, 2019 John, I may not always comment, but seriously man, your Corsairs are getting better and better. They’re just stunning, man, truly stunning. I’d love to see your take on a Tamiya A6M to go with the Corsairs. I’m being drawn to one myself. Personally, I’m looking forward to the big Airfix ‘Cat... 2
GazzaS Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 John, that looks sweet! I agree... time for you to start turning Japanese! 3
DocRob Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Deja vu time , another fine Corsair John. Painting and wear looking great and I like the strange looking grey fin. Cheers Rob 2

Thanks Ernie. I had a couple of the Zero kits at one time but sold them off as Japanese WW II stuff isn't my cup of tea. I do have a Hasegawa A6M5 I built about 30 years ago which goes well with the Corsairs. I'll have to post a photo of it with my latest Corsair. I too am looking forward to the Airfix Hellcat. Should be a winner! 1

Cheers Rob Thank you Rob. I wanted this one to really show some wear and I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I agree, the gray fin is a bit unusual. 3

Peterpools Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 John Gorgeous work and perfectly weathered., as you are surely are the Guru of Tamiya Corsairs. Just marvel at your 'clean weathering' , which is perfect in my book. Yup, I'll be working on mine the next few days and starting to make progress again. The Corsair has been sharing bench space and time with the ZM F4J - have to say, greatly enjoying both. Aces on a fantastic build Peter 2
