Agree Ron, but I’d think a squared off corner anywhere but on the tip of a prop might give someone reason for pause.

Well...  I always say it's better to have too much plastic than too little.

lol just look at it in the mirror!

Voila! Perfect!

LMAO!

It’s been one of those days....

If you can’t laugh at yourself, you truly have no life.  I checked and double checked, even triple checked...  I didn’t even realize it until I went to place the National markings.

Fortunately, it’s an easy fix, but I must be getting a bit soft in the head.

Ok guys, i might be overthinking this, but..

Hataka Orange khaki is lacquer.

Blue is Vallejo Air. An acrylic, right?

I simply want to mist over the blue, let it set, then do a cover coat. Will Hataka attack Vallejo?  My mind says no, as I’ve used plenty of Gunze lacquers over Tamiya acrylics with no issues.

I think Hataka is plenty mild, definitely not a “hot” paint, so that is a good thing.  The blue stripe is very thin, not much more than a mist, and a simple overpaint is not going to show mask lines.

Thoughts?

Brain Fart time in Texas.

It happens even to the best.

Is there a reason why the Polish markings are not symmetrical applied on the wings. On my Karas it's the same, so it must be a Polish idea.

Cheers Rob

A sign of a true craftsman is how well he can fix his f%#kups!

It was actually a very easy fix. Just made sure the blue was completely dry, then make a couple of VERY light passes with the khaki, letting it dry between coats. Then hit it with the big one.

Simple dimple. I think bigger problems often happen when someone panics and tries to wipe it off.

Fantastic progress. Not my kind of aircraft but your build triggers the "I like" button.

Lothar

thanks Lothar.  It's a fun build.   All mistakes are mine alone.

But I will warn you that I have several grey jets that keep winking at me.  Tamiya F-15E and 16CJ, Acadamy SUFA, Trumpter Mig-29K and 29A, and Kinetic multi kit for F-18A/B.

So one of these days I'll need to build something grey and boring...  :)

I've finished a A-4N in Israeli markings - I need to take some pictures and post them asap.

Yes please ! :)

Nice stripe repair Ernie, I admiring your calm nature. I would be spewing profanities right and left  :)
