  1. Here's the latest on the recovery from HS https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/hyperscale/interesting-footage-of-a-tbm-ditching-today-in-flo-t523135-s10.html Cheers Dennis
  2. That was a an amazing feat, and very lucky that no swimmers were caught up in the incident, everyone seemed so calm, though it was probably because it happened so fast. Cheers Dennis
  3. This is my latest victim, the PCM Hawker Tempest, it's been a bit of a struggle but it's getting there now. Cheers Dennis
  4. This is coming along very nicely, the cockpit looks great. Cheers Dennis
  5. Now that is major surgery, I think that I would have built something else looking at all the faults, but an interesting journey to follow. Cheers Dennis
  6. Reminds me of my bike, went abroad working for 10 years and left the Honda covered in grease and covered in dust sheets, got back and though a quick touch up and away we would go. Mine was the SOHC CB750. The reality was a lot different and resulted in a 2 year total rebuild, here is the frame after I had stripped the bike down, you seem to have got the rust in all the right places !. It turned out well though. Cheers Dennis
  7. Nice choice, I have a PCM Mk.IX lined up after my current builds and will probably build it as JE*J as well, strangely with my fascination with Spitfires I have never built a Mk IX. I have built I, II, V, VI, VIII, and XIV but no IX. So will have to get my finger out, I do have a Tamiya IX but the PCM version has been in the stash the longest. Cheers Dennis
  8. I'm with you on that one Cheers Dennis
  9. Great job, looks grand Cheers Dennis
  10. That's a really nice build, and paint finish, I have one to build one day, hope it turns out as nice as yours. Cheers Dennis
  11. Third time lucky worked then, good news Cheers Dennis
  12. Beautiful work that is really neat. Cheers ennis
  13. Nice to see that they work well, I was a bit unsure. Cheers Dennis
  14. This is real quality building, great job Cheers Dennis
  15. Nice one, looks most impressive. Cheers Dennis
  16. That Quinta set looks fabulous will be interested to see how it goes on. Cheers Dennis
  17. What a great subject for a build, I have a soft spot for the Stirling from my memories of a 1/72 scale Airfix build when I was a nipper, what an impressive machine it was. It's a shame that it is now extinct. Cheers Dennis
  18. Great news. Cheers Dennis
  19. I may be a bit strange but I was fascinated when I had my angiogram, seeing everything on the big screen was amazing, I haven't looked back since and that was 6 years ago. Just follow the doctors orders and you should be fine. Cheers Dennis
  20. As has been said above, do what the doctors say and take it easy Cheers Dennis
  21. That sounds like a very rough ride, but it's great to hear that you are on the mend and if building kits helps go for it, it would be a waste if that skill was not used. Cheers Dennis
  22. Absolutely fantastic, wish I had the patience and skill to paint figures that well but I haven't. Cheers Dennis
  23. That is seriously impressive, the plane, the set, and the figures are fantastic, well done Cheers Dennis
  24. Dymo tape for me also, plus Lion Roar scribing templates and Airwaves radius scribing templates, for the actual scribing I use a Bare Metal Scriber. I have also use the flexible Tamiya masking tape with some sucess. Cheers Dennis
  25. Not sure now as it was probably late 1990's but I think the nose and engine nacelles were a bit problematic, and fitting the undercarriage was different to the norm, in those days though I did not do build narratives like I do now so I am just relying on my dodgy memory. Cheers Dennis
