Special Hobby Hawker Tempest Mk.V JN751
Spitfire replied to James H's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Nice work, but a Mk II ? Cheers Dennis -
The IId is very tempting, but with all three kits released already in the stash and 2 PCM Mk.I's (one rag wing and one metal) in the stash as well, I may just have enough Hurricanes, but the IId does look really good in SEAC colours and markings........... Cheers Dennis

A great review, thanks for that, it seems that SH have got it right by waiting until they have all their little ducks in a row, no matter how frustrating it has been for us very impatient modellers, my kit is sitting on the shelf behind me beckoning me to start it, but with three kits on the go at the moment it will have to wait a while. Chers Dennis

I've just used it on my 1/32 Hobbyboss SpitfireVb Trop to mask off the undersides and mask off the camouflage pattern, it's pretty good for re scribing as well. Cheers Dennis

This is the Hasegawa kit with the new wings with recessed panel lines, though the Revell boxing is more common. Cheers Dennis

I have been dying to buy some more kits but nothing really springs out at me, I only build WW2 subjects and being limited for space means that the bigger kits are not an option. The FLY Hurricanes were an added bonus, roll on the Sea Hurricane I say. The one kit that has eluded me was the Tamiya Mosquito which at over £100 was too rich for me, so when the boss (wife) and I got to the Cosford show this year I said to her that I would only buy one if it was £100 or less, and lo and behold we walked into the first hanger and there on a stand was a Tamiya Mosquito for £100, so I had to take it home. Cheers Dennis

They are nice kits, I've used them as base kits for conversions to Mk.VIII (Paragon), Mk XII (Paragon) and Mk. XIV (Warbirds), as long as you don't mind some re scribing and extra detailing they come out well. Cheers Dennis

Revell 1/32 Arado Ar196A-3
Spitfire replied to RalphSarc's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Beautifully finished, very realistic, and a nice change from the normal schemes that you see. Cheers Dennis -
I would be interested in a BPF Firefly Mk I rather than the later Marks, but each to their own and it's nice that this neglected subject is getting some attention at last. Cheers Dennis.
