  5. What a great subject for a build, I have a soft spot for the Stirling from my memories of a 1/72 scale Airfix build when I was a nipper, what an impressive machine it was. It's a shame that it is now extinct. Cheers Dennis
  6. Great news. Cheers Dennis
  7. I may be a bit strange but I was fascinated when I had my angiogram, seeing everything on the big screen was amazing, I haven't looked back since and that was 6 years ago. Just follow the doctors orders and you should be fine. Cheers Dennis
  8. As has been said above, do what the doctors say and take it easy Cheers Dennis
  9. That sounds like a very rough ride, but it's great to hear that you are on the mend and if building kits helps go for it, it would be a waste if that skill was not used. Cheers Dennis
  10. Absolutely fantastic, wish I had the patience and skill to paint figures that well but I haven't. Cheers Dennis
  11. That is seriously impressive, the plane, the set, and the figures are fantastic, well done Cheers Dennis
  12. Dymo tape for me also, plus Lion Roar scribing templates and Airwaves radius scribing templates, for the actual scribing I use a Bare Metal Scriber. I have also use the flexible Tamiya masking tape with some sucess. Cheers Dennis
  13. Not sure now as it was probably late 1990's but I think the nose and engine nacelles were a bit problematic, and fitting the undercarriage was different to the norm, in those days though I did not do build narratives like I do now so I am just relying on my dodgy memory. Cheers Dennis
  14. Built two of those years ago, they were challenging but worth it in the end. Cheers Dennis
  15. I know exactly how you feel as I am currently wrestling with a PCM Tempest, fit, sand, fit, sand get out the CA and find that it still doesn't fit, loads of fun. Cheers Dennis
  16. Beautiful job, that looks ever so impressive. Cheers Dennis
  17. Without braving the cold in the loft I would have to say my Airfix 1/24 scale kit boxes, two or three Typhoons and the Hellcat or my 1/350 ships Cheers Dennis.
  18. They look great, certainly solves the chrome finished area painting job Cheers Dennis
  19. Nice one, looks good Cheers Dennis
  20. Sounds like a plan to me, taping the fuselage halves together is definately the way to go. Cheers Dennis
  21. Arrived yesterday my first kit purchase of 2021, just waiting for the Whirlwind now Cheers Denns
  22. That's horrible, but looks fixable, just walk away for a while and come back to it after a bit of thought, don't rush it. Cheers Dennis
  23. I'm on the painting stage of my PCM Tempest and starting to clean up parts on my Fabric wing Hurricane. I nearly gave up on the Tempest but persevered and it has come out great. The problem was that I have got used to Hasegawa and other modern kits and going back to the test fit, sand, test fit, sand, repeat routine was a bit lengthy and boring. But it looks good so far which is good as I have lots of their kits which when they came out were really welcome as they made kits of subjects that had hardly figured in 1/32 scale. Cheers Dennis
  24. Nice to see it getting "dressed" looks great Cheers Dennis
  25. Looking good, this is the kit that got me back into modelling in the 80's and I still haven't built one, and I have three in the loft, plus a BII conversion kit. Cheers Dennis
